An interior permanent magnet motor includes a rotor with permanent magnets spaced apart in a circumferential direction, and a rotor core with core pieces positioned between adjacent permanent magnets. The permanent magnets include a pair of corner portions at each of an end on an outside in a radial direction and an end on an inside in the radial direction. Each of the core pieces includes at least one of an outer support portion that supports one corner portion of the pair of corner portions at the end of the permanent magnets on the outside in the radial direction or an inner support portion that supports one corner portion of the pair of corner portions at the end of the permanent magnets on the inside in the radial direction, and restricts movement of the permanent magnets in the radial direction.

Interior permanent magnet motor

A rotor includes: a shaft; a tubular rotor core; and a plurality of magnets. The shaft extends along a center axis. The rotor core surrounds the shaft. The plurality of magnets is disposed outside the rotor core in a radial direction and is aligned in a circumferential direction. A plurality of first recessed portions recessed outward in the radial direction is aligned in the circumferential direction in an inner surface of the rotor core in the radial direction. Each of the first recessed portions overlaps each of the magnets in the radial direction.

Rotor

A stator includes a core-back portion, teeth portions, insulators, and coils. The teeth portions extend radially from a circumferential surface of the core-back portion. The insulators are respectively mounted to the teeth portions. The coils are respectively mounted to the insulators. A tip end of the tooth portion has a circumferential width equal to or smaller than that of a base end of the tooth portion. The tip end has an axial width equal to or smaller than that of the base end. The insulator includes a tube portion accommodating the tooth portion. The tube portion includes a first opening existing at the tip end and a second opening existing at the base end. The first opening has an axial width smaller than an axial width of the second opening in a state that each of the insulators is removed from each of the teeth portions.
