A switchable three-dimensional (3D) display includes a display device and a switchable parallax barrier that is disposed on the display device. The switchable parallax barrier includes a first electrode structure, a second electrode structure, and a liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer is located between the first electrode structure and the second electrode structure. The first electrode structure includes a planar electrode, a plurality of first bar electrodes electrically connected to one another, and an insulating layer. A partial region of the planar electrode is not covered by the first bar electrodes. The insulating layer is disposed between the planar electrode and the first bar electrodes, so that the planar electrode is electrically insulated from the first bar electrodes.

Switchable three-dimensional display

An active device array substrate including a substrate, a plurality of pixels, a plurality of signal lines, and a repairing structure is provided. The substrate has a display region and a periphery region. The pixels are arranged on the display region of the substrate as an array. The signal lines are electrically connected to the pixels and are respectively extended from the display region to the periphery region. The repairing structure is disposed at the periphery region, and which includes a first repairing line, a second repairing line, an electrostatic discharge (ESD) releasing line, and an ESD protector. The first repairing line is intersected with one ends of the signal lines and is electrically floated. The ESD protector is connected between the second repairing line and the ESD releasing line, and the ESD protector is overlapped with and electrically insulated from the first repairing line.

Active device array substrate and repairing method thereof

A switchable three-dimensional display includes a display panel and a switchable parallax barrier. The switchable parallax barrier is configured over the display panel and includes a first substrate, a second substrate, an insulating layer, a common electrode, and a light-valve layer. The first substrate has a touch-sensing circuit. The second substrate has a plurality of control electrodes and is configured between the first substrate and the display panel. The touch-sensing circuit and the control electrodes are located between the first substrate and the second substrate. The insulating layer is configured over the first substrate and covers the touch-sensing circuit. The common electrode is configured on the insulating layer. The light-valve layer is configured between the common electrode and the control electrodes.
