A circuit includes a RC-CR circuit and a second circuit. The RC-CR circuit outputs a first signal at a first output node over a RC path, and a second signal at a second output node over a CR path. The second circuit is coupled to the RC-CR circuit at the first output node over the RC path. The second circuit includes an array of capacitors coupled in parallel and a plurality of switches, and each of the array of capacitors is connected, in series, to a corresponding switch in the plurality of switches. Each of the array of capacitors and its corresponding switch are coupled between the first output node and a ground. The plurality of switches is switched on or off such that the first signal and the second signal have a phase difference that falls within a predetermined phase range.

Method and apparatus for RC/CR phase error calibration of measurement receiver

Embodiments are provided for biasing circuits with compensation of process variation without band-gap referenced current or voltage. In an embodiment, a circuit for biasing a field-effect transistor (FET) passive mixer comprises a series of diode-connected FETs, and a series of first resistors connected to a voltage source and the series of diode-connected FETs. Additionally, one or more second resistors are connected to the series of diode-connected FETs and to ground. In an embodiment method, the total number of the diode-connected FETs and the total number of the resistors, including the first and second series of resistors, are selected. The total number of the second resistors is then determined according to a defined relation between the selected total number of diode-connected FETs and the total number of resistors.

Apparatus and method for a self-biasing circuit for a FET passive mixer

Disclosed are apparatuses and methods to overcome technology limitations to achieve linearity and efficiency performance suitable for practical wireless communications systems. In an embodiment, an amplifier is provided that superimposes the transconductance from a common source amplifier with inductor degeneration with the transconductance from a common source amplifier without degeneration. In an embodiment, an amplifier is provided having a feedback-balun-transformer that provides electro-magnetic coupling between primary, secondary, and negative feedback degeneration inductors and a differential to single-ended conversion output.
