In implementations of the present disclosure, a retry mechanism for access point multi-link device is provided. An access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) detects a trigger condition for a retry on a first link. After detecting the trigger condition, the AP MLD further selects a second link from a plurality of links. The AP MLD then selects a retry mode from a plurality of retry modes for the second link, and transmits a retry packet on the second link using the selected retry mode. Implementations of the present disclosure can fully utilize the MLD properties to help speed up the transmissions of the retry frames, and can reduce the channel occupation and increase the channel utilization of the retry frames.

Retry mechanism for access point multi-link device

In implementations of the present disclosure, a method is provided for multi-link operation (MLO) at multi-link devices (MLDs). A first MLD establishes a plurality of links on a radio band with a second MLD based on a primary service set identifier (SSID). The first MLD further generates a key for the plurality of links on the radio band based on the primary SSID, and performs transmission of a traffic flow with the second MLD at least based on the plurality of links and the key. In this way, with multiple links on the same radio band, a suitable link among the multiple links can be used for the transmission, thereby improving stability, utility and performance of links in the MLO.

Multi-link operation

A method for scanning enhancement is provided. The method comprises receiving a channel scan request, including a scan channel number, a bandwidth, and a total scan time. The method further comprises determining a number of a plurality of scans based on the total scan time and an individual scan time for an AP. The method further comprises determining a plurality of offset values corresponding to the plurality of scans based on the number of the plurality of scans. In addition, the method further comprises performing off-channel scanning based on the scan channel number, the bandwidth, the number of the plurality of scans, and the plurality of offset values. Implementations of the present disclosure can improve the effect and the efficiency of the scanning process, the performance of the features of the upper layer, and the user experience.

WiFi scaning enhancement

In implementations of the present disclosure, a power compensation determination for radio frequency cable mechanism is provided. An access point (AP) determines a time slot for an RF cable loss measurement on an RF cable, and transmits a test signal with a first TX power to an antenna module over the RF cable. The AP further obtains a second TX power transmitted by the antenna module, and determines an RF cable loss based on the first TX power and the second TX power. The AP further determines power compensation for the RF cable based on the determined RF cable loss, the first TX power and an antenna gain of the antenna module. The AP transmits signals on the RF cable to the antenna module based on the determined power compensation. Implementations of the present disclosure can determine the power compensation based on the RF cable loss automatically.

Power compensation determination for radio frequency cable

In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for aligning target beacon transmission time (TBTT) for multi-link connection. A method comprises setting up a first link and a second link between an access point (AP) and a wireless device based on multi-link operation (MLO), and obtaining a first TBTT of the first link and a second TBTT of the second link. The method further comprises aligning the first TBTT and the second TBTT at a start time, and then transmitting beacon frames on the first link and the second link according to the aligning of the first TBTT and second TBTT. Embodiments of the present disclosure synchronize and align the beacon TBTTs for different links, and can reduce the wake-up time on all active links, thereby saving power for the wireless device.

Aligning target beacon transmission time for multi-link connection

In embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided for performing a frame processing operation on a broadcast/multicast frame at a physical access point (AP). A pre-processing operation is performed on the frame at a protocol layer between a physical layer and an upper layer of the AP to obtain a pre-processed frame. The pre-processing operation comprises a common operation to be performed for the plurality of virtual interfaces at the protocol layer. In this way, by performing a pre-processing operation common to the virtual interfaces supported by the physical AP, the consumption of resources caused by the performance of repeated operations in the frame processing operation can be reduced.

Frame processing at an access point

Implementations of the present disclosure relate to selecting a transmitting virtual access point (VAP) for a MBSSID set. A method comprises selecting a VAP from a set of VAPs as a transmitting VAP based on context information about the set of VAPs, at least one of the set of VAPs other than the transmitting VAP being determined as at least one non-transmitting VAP The method also comprises generating a beacon frame for the set of VAPs by including an identifier of the transmitting VAP in a header part of the beacon frame and including at least one identifier of the at least one non-transmitting VAP in a payload part of the beacon frame. A generated beacon frame is broadcasted. In this way, a transmitting VAP of a set of VAPs is no longer determined by default, but can be selected for different cases.

Selection of a transmitting VAP for a MBSSID set

In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for selecting a channel puncturing scheme based on channel qualities. A method comprises detecting channel interference between neighbor access points (APs), and determining whether a preamble puncturing needs to be enabled based on some puncturing conditions. After determining that a preamble puncturing needs to be enabled, scores for candidate puncturing patterns are calculated based on channel qualities of the sub-channels in the channel, and a proper puncturing pattern can be selected based on the respective scores. Embodiments of the present disclosure can help AP to achieve an effective and better puncturing scheme in real deployment.

In embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided for managing a mesh point. A request is transmitted from a mesh point to a mesh portal, and the request indicates that Reduced Neighbor Report (RNR) information is required. A beacon with the RNR information is received from the mesh portal. A mesh link is established with a target mesh portal based on the beacon with the RNR information. Therefore, the time cost and the data communication of a scanning procedure of the mesh point may be greatly reduced. Further, communications in the scanning procedure are lowered, such that conflicts in the air may be alleviated.

Systems and methods are provided for network scanning. For example, the systems and methods can address AP scanning in the WiFi-6 context, where AP scanning frequency and the number of 6 GHz channels can be reduced. Additionally, the timing of AP scanning (on 2.4/5/6 GHz channels) can be adjusted to wait until STA's buffered frames are sent to AP and/or while a STA is asleep due to time TWT.

Network scanning

In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for managing Target Wake Time (TWT) clients in a congested environment. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a TWT client transmits, to an AP, a request to negotiate a schedule for a TWT session. The request comprises a first set of TWT parameters requested by the TWT client. The AP determines, based on respective sets of TWT parameters of existing TWT sessions and the first set of TWT parameters, a second set of TWT parameters for the TWT client to minimize overlap between the TWT session and the existing TWT sessions. The AP transmits a response comprising the second set of TWT parameters to the TWT client. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an effective way for assigning air resources to multiple TWT clients in a congested environment, thereby reducing collisions among TWT sessions.

A method and device for modulating a brightness-grayscale curve of a display device are provided. The method includes determining an applicable standard brightness-grayscale curve for eye perception; obtaining theoretical brightness values corresponding to respective grayscales of the display device based on the applicable standard brightness-grayscale curve for eye perception and at least one of an eye pupil change factor, an environmental factor and a factor related to the display device; modulating brightnesses of the display device according to the theoretical brightness values corresponding to the respective grayscales of the display device. The above method is a solution to the problems of low grayscale details, backlighting, high grayscale saturation, and transition-color unevenness. The problem is solved that a visible grayscale in a dimmed session is no longer distinguishable in a bright environment. And a quantifiable standard for modulation control is provided.

Method and electronic device for modulating brightness-grayscale curve of display device

Systems and methods are provided for increasing power save efficiency of stations within a wireless communications network. An access point (AP) can receive one or more session requests to establish a session from a station, each session request including one or more requested session parameters. The AP can set the session parameters to ensure that a session period of each requested session does not overlap two or more target beacon transmission time (TBTT) frames. The AP can merge two or more session periods of the one or more sessions by calculating a session period offset to align the end time of two or more session periods. Merging the two or more session periods minimizes the total wake time of the station.
