A compound ammonium fluoroborate, a nonlinear optical crystal of ammonium fluoroborate, and a preparation method and use thereof; the compound has the chemical formula of NHBOF with a molecular weight of 176.28, and is prepared by a solid phase reaction process; the crystal has the chemical formula of NHBOF with a molecular weight of 176.28, belongs to the orthorhombic system, and has a space group of Pna2and the following unit cell parameters: a=7.615(3) &#x212b;, b=11.207(4) &#x212b;, c=6.604(3) &#x212b;, Z=4, V=563.6 &#x212b;. The nonlinear optical crystal can be obtained by the method of the present invention. The present invention provides uses of the nonlinear optical crystal in producing harmonic light and a deep-ultraviolet frequency-multiplied light below 200 nm; and in making a frequency multiplication generator, a frequency up or down converter or an optical parametric oscillator.

Compound ammonium fluoroborate, nonlinear optical crystal of ammonium fluoroborate, and preparation method and use thereof

The invention relates to a lithium metaborate crystal and a preparation method and use thereof. The crystal has a chemical formula of LiBO, a molecular weight of 49.75, and is a member of the monoclinic crystal system. The crystal has a P2/c space group and lattice constants of a=5.85(8) &#x212b;, b=4.35(7) &#x212b;, c=6.46(6) &#x212b;, &#x3b2;=115(5)&#xb0;, and Z=4. The crystal can be applied in wavelengths of infrared-visible-deep ultraviolet, and is grown by utilizing a melt crystallization method or a flux method. The crystal obtained using the method described in the invention is easily grown and processed, and can be used in the manufacture of a polarizing beam splitting prism such as a Glan prism, a Wollaston prism, a Rochon prism or a beam-splitting polarizer, and other optical components, enabling crucial applications in the fields of optics and communication.

Lithium metaborate crystal, preparation method and use thereof

The present invention relates to a potassium chloroborate nonlinear optical crystal, a preparation method and a use thereof. The crystal has a chemical formula of KBOCl, has no symmetric center, belongs to rhombohedral crystal system, has a space group R3m with unit cell parameters of a=10.0624(14) &#x212b;, b=10.0624(14) &#x212b;, c=8.8361(18) &#x212b;, Z=3 and V=774.8(2) &#x212b;. It has a powder second harmonic generation efficiency of about 3 times that of KDP (KHPO), and a Mohs hardness of 4-5, a transparent wavelength range of 165 nm-3460 nm. The compound is synthesized by a solid-state reaction and the crystal is grown by using a flux, which are of easy operation and low costs. The obtained crystal has large size, short growing period, little inclusion, relatively high mechanical hardness, and is easy to be cut, polished and stored. Said crystal is used to generate a second, third, fourth or fifth harmonic light output for a laser beam with a wavelength of 1064 nm.

Potassium chloroborate nonlinear optical crystal, preparation method and use thereof

The present invention provides a barium fluoroborate compound, a nonlinear optical crystal and the preparation method and use thereof. Both of the barium fluoroborate compound and the nonlinear optical crystal have a chemical formula of BaBOF. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic crystal system, has a space group Cmc2with unit cell parameters of a=18.802(3) &#x212b;, b=10.7143(19) &#x212b;, c=8.6113(14) &#x212b;, V=1734.7(5) &#x212b;. The crystal has a powder second harmonic generation efficiency of 10 times that of KDP (KHPO). The ultraviolet cutoff wavelength is about 170 nm. The barium fluoroborate compound is prepared by a solid-state reaction. The barium fluoroborate nonlinear optical crystal prepared by a high temperature melting liquid method has large hardness and is easy to be cut, polished and stored. This crystal can be used widely in preparing the nonlinear optical devices of the second harmonic generator, the up frequency converter, the down frequency converter or the optical parametric oscillator or the like.

Barium fluoroborate, nonlinear optical crystal of barium fluoroborate, preparation method and use thereof

The present invention relates to a large-sized and high-quality bismuth-zinc-borate (Bi.sub.2 ZnB.sub.2 O.sub.7) single crystal, preparation methods and applications thereof. The crystal has cross-sectional dimensions greater than one centimeter, a nonlinear optical effect of about 3-4 times that of KH.sub.2 PO.sub.4 (KDP), and an optical transmission wavelength range of 330-3300 nm. The crystal can be grown from a compound melt by a Czochralski method, a Kyropoulos method or a Bridgman method with the raw material being the synthetic compound Bi.sub.2 ZnB.sub.2 O.sub.7. Alternatively, the crystal may be grown from a high-temperature solution method by using Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 as a flux. The crystal may be applied in nonlinear optical devices such as frequency doubling generators, frequency upconverters or downconverters, and optical parametric oscillators.
