Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for buffer state report. A method performed at a terminal device may comprise: determining a time duration, wherein a buffer size associated with data to be transmitted during the time duration is to be predicted by the terminal device; predicting the buffer size; and transmitting a scheduling request or a buffer state report indicating the predicted buffer size to a network node. A method performed at a network node may comprise: receiving a scheduling request or a buffer state report indicating a predicted buffer size associated with data to be received during a time duration from a terminal device; and transmitting a grant for the data according to the received scheduling request or buffer state report. The latency of data transmission from the terminal device to the network node may be reduced.

Method and apparatus for buffer state report

A method performed by a wireless device for wireless transmission of data to a network node of a wireless communication network. The method comprises receiving, from the network node, at a first time slot, a first scheduling grant instructing the wireless device to transmit first data to the network node at a third time slot, and receiving, from the network node, at a second time slot later than the first time slot but earlier than the third time slot, a second scheduling grant instructing the wireless device to transmit second data to the network node at the third time slot. The method further comprises transmitting, to the network node at the third time slot, the second data, and possibly also the first data, in uplink transmission resources of the third time slot, wherein the transmission is performed in accordance with an instruction.

Methods, wireless device and network node for transmission of uplink data

A method for operating a network node in a wireless communication network. The method comprises detecting signals transmitted from wireless communication devices scheduled for uplink transmissions. The method also comprises selecting a subset of the detected signals for decoding. The method also comprises decoding the selected subset and initiating a rescheduling of the wireless communication devices that transmitted the detected signals that were not selected. Also disclosed is a method performed by a network device in a wireless communication network. The method comprises scheduling wireless communication devices for uplink transmissions. The method also comprises obtaining information enabling an identification of a subset of wireless communication devices that transmitted signals using said scheduling but whose transmitted signals were not selected for decoding and rescheduling said subset of wireless communication devices for uplink transmissions. Corresponding network nodes and network devices and relate computer programs are also disclosed.
