Disclosed are a genomic mating method for Huaxi cattle based on whole genome single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) information and an application thereof. The method includes the following specific steps: step 1, extracting deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from to-be-hybridized Huaxi cattle individuals for genotyping; step 2, performing genotype data imputation to obtain high-density chip data; step 3, calculating an additive genetic relationship matrix, utilizing genomic best linear unbiased prediction (GBLUP) to obtain genomic estimated breeding values of five important economic traits of a to-be-hybridized Huaxi cattle population, and calculating a comprehensive selection index of the individuals; and step 4, using a genetic algorithm to construct a population optimal mating combination list. In the present invention, the breeding cost is greatly saved and an inbreeding level of offspring populations is reduced.

An approach is provided for orchestrating computing resources between different computing environments. Data from first and second computing environments is monitored. The data specifies utilization of infrastructure, middleware, software testing tools, integrated development environments (IDEs), relationships among nodes, utilization of the nodes, and user behavior in the first and second computing environments. Based on the utilization of the infrastructure, middleware, tools, IDEs, node relationships and utilization, and user behavior, a pattern decision tree is updated, and unbalanced workloads are identified. Based on a comparison of the unbalanced workloads to patterns in the updated pattern decision tree, an orchestration topology is generated that specifies a new placement of the computing resources in the first and second computing environments. Based on the orchestration topology, computing resource(s) are automatically deployed in the first computing environment and other computing resource(s) are automatically deployed in the second computing environment.

Provided is a method, computer program product, and system for transferring data between block and file storage systems. A remote server may receive, from a host device, a request to restore data to the host device. The remote server may store the data as one or more objects, with each object corresponding to an extent of a logical volume on the host device. A set of strides on the host device that correspond to the one or more objects may be determined using metadata for the one or more objects. Each of the one or more objects may be split into a set of data pieces using the metadata. Each data piece may then be transmitted from the remote server to the host device.

A method and associated system for repairing a script. A change type of a missed object among one or more objects of a running script that is running in a computer system is determined. The missed object is unrecognized from an original object of a previous running of the script. The script is repaired based on the change type. Determining the change type of the missed object includes determining whether a height of a new hierarchical structure including the missed object has changed as compared with a height of an original hierarchical structure including the original object. The original hierarchical structure and the new hierarchical structure are hierarchical structures formed by the one or more objects of the running script together with the missed object.

Automatic repair of scripts

An approach is provided for determining whether to reboot a computing node. Data specifying user behaviors and intra-box and inter-box factors associated with computing nodes are collected and classified in groups. Rules corresponding to the groups are generated. Each rule includes an indicator of whether the corresponding group is associated with permitting or not permitting a reboot. Computing node data is received which specifies intra-box and inter-box factors of the computing node and user operations of the computing node. After determining that the computing node data matches one of the groups, it is determined that a rule corresponding to the group includes an indicator of whether the computing node is permitted to be rebooted. Based on the indicator, the computing node is rebooted or not rebooted.
