A housing of an electronic device includes a bottom cover and a front panel detachably secured to the bottom cover. The bottom cover includes at least one first sidewall and a locking portion perpendicularly set on the at least one first sidewall. The front panel includes a fixing portion and a blocking portion adjacent to the fixing portion and spaced from the locking portion. The fixing portion defines a through hole for receiving the locking portion. The fixing portion and the blocking portion abut opposite sides of the at least one first sidewall for preventing the at least one first sidewall from leaving a gap between the at least one first wall and the locking portion.

Electronic device housing

A locking structure includes a hook disposed on a first object and engagable with a locking member disposed on a second object. The locking member includes a main body rotatable about an axis thereof and a number of locking portions radially protruding from the main body. When the main body rotates about the axis, the locking portions rotate together with the main body to engage with and disengage from the hook to lock the first object to and unlock the first object from the second object.

Locking structure and electronic device with the same

A measuring device for measuring the torque of a torsion spring, includes a base, an electronic scale secured to the base, a supporting plate fixed to the base, and a holding mechanism slidably secured to the supporting plate. The holding mechanism includes a screw slidably secured to the supporting plate, two nuts engaging with the screw and arranged at opposite sides of the screw, and a holding portion for holding the torsion spring. The nuts are operated to adjust the height of the screw relative to the supporting plate, to drive the torsion spring to depress the electronic scale. The electronic scale displays a weight value for calculating the torque of the torsion spring when depressed by the torsion spring.

Measuring device

An exemplary portable electronic device includes a bottom cover, a top cover, an electronic module, and elastic washers. The top cover engages with the bottom cover to define a space therebetween. The electronic module is received in the space. Poles protrude up from the bottom cover. The elastic washers are fixed on the electronic module. A through hole is defined in each of the washers. The poles respectively extend through the through holes of the washers, and opposite ends of each of the washers respectively elastically abut the top cover and the bottom cover.

Portable electronic device with buffered internal electronic module

An exemplary display unit includes a rear cover, a bracket disposed on the rear cover, a display mounted on the bracket, and a front cover secured to the rear cover to sandwich the display and the bracket between the front cover and the rear cover. The bracket includes a plate supporting the display, a pair of bulges protruding upwardly from two opposite sides of the plate and a pair of tabs extending upwardly from the bulges, respectively. The pair of tabs press against two opposite lateral faces of the display to dissipate static electricity on the display to ground.

Display unit having anti-EMI capability

An electronic device includes a motherboard and a heat dissipating plate. The motherboard includes a base. The base includes a number of ports and an electronic element. The heat dissipating plate includes a substrate and a number of fasteners extending out from the substrate for engaging with the number of ports of the motherboard. The substrate defines a bulging cavity for engaging with and dissipating heat from the electronic element.

Electronic device

An exemplary electronic device includes a front cover, a display screen and two speakers located on the back surface, and a back plate abutting against the display screen and two speakers. Five fasteners extend backwardly from a back surface of the front cover. Each of the fasteners includes a connecting plate extending backwardly from the back surface and a top plate formed at a free end of the connecting plate. Five latching tabs are formed on the back plate corresponding to the fasteners. Each of the latching tabs includes a latching tip latched between the top plate of the corresponding fastener and the back surface of the front cover. The back plate abuts against the display screen and the two speakers, thus mounting the display screen and the two speakers on the front cover.

An optical disk player includes a main body, a hinge, and a display. The main body includes a cover and an opposite base. The hinge includes a fixing portion coupled with the cover of the main body. The display is pivotably connecting to the main body by the hinge. The fixing portion defines a locating hole thereon. The cover defines a holding portion and a first locking portion. The first locking portion comprises a pole and a hook at an end of the pole. The holding portion of the cover is engaged in the corresponding locating hole of the fixing portion. The hook and the pole of the first locking portion clasp different sides of the fixing portion.

Optical disk player without screws to position the cover

An electronic device includes a main body, a hinge assembly, and a decorative cover. The main body includes a holder and a holder cover. The holder cover defines an opening at a lateral side thereof and a first notch at a middle portion of the lateral side communicating with the opening. An elastic arm extends from an inner wall of the holder cover to the opening. The elastic arm defines a receiving hole. The hinge assembly includes a connecting portion inserted in the opening of the main body, and a pivot extending through the first notch for connecting to a display. The decorative cover covers the hinge assembly. The decorative cover includes a projection engaged into the receiving hole of the elastic arm to fixedly mount the decorative cover on the holder cover.

An optical disc drive includes a housing with a protrusion and a tray capable of sliding in and out of the housing. The tray includes a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first surface is partially recessed to form a receiving space for accommodating an optical disc. The second surface defines a channel, and forms a blocking portion at one end of the channel. The protrusion slides in the channel to guide the tray to slide in and out of the housing, and cooperates with the channel to prevent the tray from vibrating. When the tray is fully extended from the housing, the protrusion is located at the end of the channel forming the blocking portion, thus the protrusion is blocked by the blocking portion from sliding too far so that the tray is prevented from sliding off the housing.

Optical disc drive

A locking apparatus of a CD-ROM drive includes a support and a transmitting wheel. The support includes a shaft and a clasp formed thereon. The support is arranged in a chassis of the locking apparatus. The shaft and the clasp are received in the transmitting wheel. The clasp is configured for clasping the transmitting wheel.

Locking apparatus

A fastening device includes a cover, an actuating member rotatably attached on the cover, and a locking member disposed on the cover and engaging with the actuating member. The cover includes a hook capable of being locked and unlocked on an electronic device, and defines a through hole near the hook and the actuating member capable of rotating around a rotating center. The actuating member is locked on the cover while being pushed. The locking member including a locking portion capable of passing through the through hole and inserting into the electronic device to lock the hook on the electronic device and withdrawing from the through hole when the actuating member is pushed to rotate.

Portable apparatus and fastening device thereof

A portable apparatus includes an electronic device defining a locking slot and a positioning device for detachably attached to the electronic device. The positioning device includes a cover defining an opening and a through hole; a supporting member comprising a hook protruding from the through hole to insert in the locking slot to lock in the electronic device and a supporting portion protruding from the opening of the cover to support the electronic device; and a dampening member fixed to the supporting member in the cover.

A portable apparatus includes an electronic device; and a fastening device detachably attached to the electronic device. The fastening device includes a cover comprising a hook for inserting in the electronic device; a pressing member capable of being movable locked and unlocked from the cover; a locking member fastened on the cover and engaged with the pressing member, and an activating member disposed on the cover for activating the pressing portion to unlock from the cover. The locking member includes an inserting portion for inserting into the locking slot to lock the hook in the electronic device.
