An electronic apparatus and a method for reducing the number of commands are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a central processor and a co-processor. The central processor generates a plurality of original register setting commands to set at least one bit of at least one register of the co-processor. The original register setting commands include a plurality of first original register setting commands, and a plurality of setting targets of the first original register setting commands have address continuity. The central processor merges the first original register setting commands to generate at least one merged register setting command. The central processor transmits the at least one merged register setting command to the co-processor.

A model simplification method is provided. The model simplification method includes: constructing a surrounding body to surround a model, wherein the model includes at least one primitive and a plurality of vertexes; drawing the model and the surrounding body to at least one rendering surface by respectively taking each of the plurality of vertexes as an eye-position; determining whether the surrounding body drawn on the rendering surface by taking a current vertex of the plurality of vertexes as the eye-position is occluded to decide whether to mark the current vertex as an invisible vertex; and eliminating a current primitive from the model when all vertexes of the current primitive of the at least one primitive are marked as the invisible vertex.

Model simplification method

A hotspot correction method is provided. The layout patterns in the hotspot regions are accurately corrected by using an ILT method. Then the layout patterns in the extension regions are corrected by using an OPC method. As a result, the layout patterns in the hotspot regions can be accurately corrected while pattern distortion of the extension regions generated due to the regional ILT correction can be prevented. Moreover, high demanding of calculation capability and long calculation time of global ILT correction can be avoided.

Hotspot correction method

This invention discloses a method and system for implementing transparent multi-buffering in multi-GPU graphics subsystems. The purpose of multi-buffering is to reduce GPU idle time. In one example, after rendering a first image by a first GPU in a back buffer, the first image is displayed by flipping to the back buffer. After that, the front buffer and back buffer are exchanged, and then shifting the back buffer and internal buffers in a predetermined sequence. A second image is rendered to current back buffer by a second GPU. The second image is displayed by flipping to a current back buffer. After that, the front buffer and back buffer are exchanged again, and shifting the back buffer and internal buffers again.

Transparent multi-buffering in multi-GPU graphics subsystem

A method and system are disclosed for synchronizing graphics processing events in a multi-GPU computer system. A master GPU renders a first image into a first portion of a master buffer associated with a display interface, and then writes a first predetermined value corresponding to the first image in a first memory unit. A slave GPU renders a second image into a slave buffer, and then transfers the second image to a second portion of the master buffer, and writes a second predetermined value corresponding to the second image in the first memory unit. The first and second predetermined values represent a queuing sequence of the rendered images. The master GPU flips the first image to display only after examining the first predetermined value in the first memory unit, and flips the second image to display only after examining the second predetermined value in the first memory unit.
