A system may include a fingerprint scanner and a magnetic switch coupled to the fingerprint scanner. The magnetic switch may couple a lid of a computing device to abase of a computing device. The system may further include an infrared (IR) scanner coupled to the magnetic switch. Additionally, the system may include an electronic switch coupled to the IR scanner.

The present subject matter relates to displays. A display includes a plurality of pixel elements and a plurality of motors. Each motor is coupled to a pixel element to move the pixel element.

Controlling privacy on a display includes a light-emitting diode (LED) pixel rotatably coupled to a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) and a controller to control the MEMS, the MEMS to rotate the LED pixel in response to a command issued by the controller to modify a viewing angle of the LED pixel such that the privacy on the display for that LED pixel is maintained.

Controlling privacy on displays

The present subject matter relates to display control in display devices. In an example implementation, a display control layer for a display device comprises a first set of channels filled with a first electrochromic material to control a view angle of a display from the display device, and a second set of channels filled with a second electrochromic material to control absorption of blue/ultraviolet (UV) light from the display device. Each adjacent pair of channels of the second set sandwiches a channel of the first set.
