The disclosure provides a display card and an electronic device with a wireless communication function. The display card includes a connection interface circuit, a display chip, a wireless communication chip, and a micro-controller unit. The connection interface circuit is configured to electrically connect the display card to the electronic device. The display chip is disposed in the display card. The wireless communication chip is disposed in the display card. The micro-controller unit is disposed in the display card and is electrically connected to the connection interface circuit, the display chip, and the wireless communication chip. In response to the electronic device being in the power off mode, the micro-controller unit receives power for the electronic device through the connection interface circuit and executes the wireless communication function through the wireless communication chip. Therefore, the convenience of the user when operating the electronic device is improved.

A method for preparing a niobium, titanium or vanadium metal oxide nanostructured material is provided. The method comprises providing an aqueous reagent comprising (i) a soluble metal oxalate, and/or (ii) oxalic acid and a metal oxide precursor, adding a buffering agent to the aqueous reagent to form a mixture, and heating the mixture under hydrothermal conditions to obtain the metal oxide nanostructured material. The metal oxide nanostructured material may also be doped with a dopant metal such as titanium to enhance capacity and cycling stability. An electrode comprising the metal oxide nanostructured material, and an electrochemical cell containing the electrode are also provided.

The invention provides for methods for delivering a nucleic acid into a peripheral neuron by identifying a target neuron in a dorsal root ganglion and intrathecally delivering a vector comprising the nucleic acid to the dorsal root ganglion neuron. The nucleic acid may encode a neurotrophic factor that may be used to treat a peripheral neuropathy or, in conjunction with a nerve guide conduit, to treat a transected peripheral nerve.

The invention relates to a chimeric promoter construct useful for neuronal cell specific gene expression. The invention provides a recombinant nucleic acid molecule that comprises a neuronal cell specific promoter such as platelet-derived growth factor &#x3b2;-chain promoter, operably linked to a heterologous enhancer which enhances the transcriptional activity of the promoter, such as cytomegalovirus immediate early gene enhancer. The promoter construct according to the invention can increase and prolong gene expression in neuronal cells and may be advantageously used in gene therapy of neuronal disorders.
