In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives, from a first base station, a data transmission on a first cell using a first RAT. The UE determines a CRS transmission using a second RAT on a second cell from a second base station. The UE determines that the CRS transmission on the second cell interferes with receiving the data transmission on the first cell at the UE. The UE applies an interference cancellation on the first cell to mitigate an interference from the CRS transmission on the second cell to the data transmission on the first cell.

Mechanism to cancel LTE CRS interference from neighboring cell in DSS

Various solutions for reducing uplink overhead with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may monitor a downlink channel. The apparatus may determining whether downlink control information (DCI) is received on the downlink channel. The apparatus may skip a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback transmission on an uplink channel in an event that no DCI is received on the downlink channel.

Method and apparatus for reducing uplink overhead in mobile communications

Techniques and examples of flexible signaling of capability of use equipment (UE) processing time in wireless communications are described. Accordingly, a UE establishes wireless communication with a network node of a wireless network. The UE also determines whether the UE is capable of operating in a second mode in addition to a first mode. The UE then transmits to the network node a report indicating capability of the UE to operate in the second mode and a condition with respect to a throughput associated with operating in the second mode. The UE performs a task in less time in the second mode than in the first mode.

Flexible signaling of capability of UE processing time in wireless communications

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE attempts to detect a trigger event. The UE determines values of a first set of power configuration parameters when the trigger event is detected. The UE transmits or receives signals in accordance with the values of the first set of power configuration parameters.

Triggering adaptation mechanisms for UE power-saving

Various solutions for reporting hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a first downlink control information (DCI) format indicating a first resource of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission. The apparatus may receive a second DCI format indicating a second resource of PUCCH transmission. The apparatus may determine that the receiving of the second DCI format is not earlier than a timing threshold from the first resource. The apparatus may cancel multiplexing of hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information corresponding to the second DCI format in the PUCCH transmission.

Method and apparatus for reporting hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement information in mobile communications

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines that a first uplink control channel is scheduled to be transmitted in a first slot set including multiple consecutive slots and that a second uplink control channel is scheduled to be transmitted in a second slot set including one or more consecutive slots. The UE determines that the first uplink control channel and the second uplink control channel overlap in a first slot that is included in both the first slot set and the second slot set. The UE determines that a particular uplink control channel of the first uplink control channel and the second uplink control channel is to be transmitted in the first slot based on a predetermined rule. The UE transmits the particular uplink control channel in the first slot.

Collision of PUCCH considering multi-slot operation

Apparatus and methods are provided for RE allocation for UCI on PUSCH. In one novel aspect, the UE encodes UCI for transmission on PUSCH in a NR network. The UE allocates UCI REs onto the PUSCH following one or more UCI RE allocation rules including (a) using same logical allocation patterns for both CP-OFDM waveforms and DFT-S-OFDM waveforms, (b) distributing the UCI REs across a time domain of the PUSCH, and (c) distributing the UCI REs across a frequency domain for CP-OFDM or across a virtual-time domain for DFT-S-OFDM. In one embodiment, the HARQ-ACK REs are distributed across the time domain as much as possible. In another embodiment, the allocation of the HARQ-ACK REs further involves calculating the number of HARQ REs dynamically for the HARQ ACK. The number of HARQ REs is based on a weighting parameter, which is either configured or obtained through system information.

Resource element (RE) allocation for uplink control information (UCI) on physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)

A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines a first value of one or more parameters indicating a reception condition of a channel from a base station. The UE determines to adjust channel state information (CSI) reporting based on the first value. The UE transmits UE-assisted information to the base station, and the UE-assisted information includes the one or more parameters or an indication of an adjusted reporting schedule of the CSI reporting. Alternatively, the UE refrains from transmitting a CSI report scheduled in accordance with an existing reporting schedule of the CSI reporting.

Power saving on UE reports

A wireless communication method, base station, and user equipment (UE) for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in random access channel (RACH) procedure are provided. The UE may include a processor. The processor may obtains a first control resource set (CORESET) configuration for physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) in the RACH procedure and obtaining a first search space configuration for the PDCCHs in the RACH procedure from a base station to monitor and receive the PDCCHs in the RACH procedure.

Method and apparatus for random access channel procedure in wireless communication system

A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines K1 information bits carrying one or more CSI reports, the one or more reports including a first CSI report, K1 being an integer greater than 0. The UE selects K2 information bits from the K1 information bits, the K2 information bits excluding a part of information bits of the first CSI report, K2 being an integer greater than 0 and smaller than K1. The UE determines that the K2 information bits are in a first predetermined relationship with a threshold. The UE transmits E2 encoded bits derived from the K2 information bits in a physical up-link channel to a base station, E2 being an integer greater than 0.

Segmentation of control payload for channel encoding

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE attempts to detect a trigger event. The UE determines values of a first set of power configuration parameters when the trigger event is detected, wherein a change in a value of each power configuration parameter in the first set of power configuration parameters affects power consumption of the first UE. The UE transmits or receives signals in accordance with the values of the first set of power configuration parameters.

A method of providing a relaxed UE processing time for uplink transmission in NR is proposed. The UE processing time of uplink transmission is required for HARQ-ACK after the reception of downlink data over physical data shared channel (PDSCH). The UE processing time is also required for physical uplink share channel (PUSCH) transmission after the reception of an uplink grant. Under non-co-located carrier aggregation, the timing difference between the signals received at the UE in different cells could be up to 30.26 us, which increases the UE processing time for uplink transmission. In accordance with one novel aspect, the UE processing time requirement is relaxed according to the timing difference requirement for carrier aggregation, when CA is operated. In addition, the UE processing time requirement also depends on the applied subcarrier spacing (SCS) in NR systems.

Determination of requirement of UE processing time in NR

Techniques and examples of reservation of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) resources in UCI in wireless communications are described. Accordingly, a UE determines how a HARQ-ACK is to be transmitted to a network node of a wireless network. The UE reserves HARQ-ACK resources among a plurality of resource elements (REs) for a two-bit HARQ-ACK based on a result of the determining. The UE then transmits the HARQ-ACK, having zero bit, one bit or two bits, to the network node in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the reserved HARQ-ACK resources such that the PUSCH is punctured for the HARQ-ACK.
