A device with shock-absorbing qualities for fixing a hard disk in place on a chassis includes two brackets, a plurality of shock-absorbing cushions, and a plurality of first fasteners is described. The brackets located at opposite sides of a hard disk and the side surface of the bracket define a plurality of circular through holes with notches or cutaways continuing to the outer edge of the side surface. The cushions can be locked in the circular through holes after being introduced through the notches whilst sleeving the first fasteners. Two support portions are bent from ends of each bracket to support the hard disk in place.

Device for fixing hard disk

A battery mounting apparatus requiring a minimum of screw fixings includes an enclosure, two positioning members, and a supporting mechanism. The enclosure includes a rear wall defining two ventilation openings. A separated board is formed between the two ventilation openings. Each of the two positioning members includes a first latching portion and a first clipping thumb extending from the first latching portion. The first latching portion of each positioning member is engaged with a first edge of the two ventilation openings, in two opposite directions. The supporting mechanism securing a battery module is secured to the two positioning members, preventing the two positioning members from moving parallel to the rear wall, and the battery module is secured to the enclosure via the two latching members and by the supporting mechanism other than with screws.

Mounting apparatus for battery module

A mounting apparatus for securing a battery module to an enclosure includes a bracket and a latching member. The bracket is secured to the enclosure and defines a receiving space for receiving the battery module. The latching member is attached to the bracket and includes a resilient portion and a blocking flange perpendicularly connected to the resilient portion. The blocking flange is engaged with the battery module to prevent the battery module from disengaging from the receiving space, and the resilient portion is resiliently deformable to disengage the blocking flange from the battery module so that the battery module is easily installed or detached from the enclosure without extra tools.

A connection apparatus includes a back plate, a circuit board having two first connectors and two second connectors, and two connection lines. Each of the two connection lines includes a first signal transmission line and a second signal transmission line. A third connector is formed on the first signal transmission line. Two first bent portions extend from the first signal transmission line. A fourth connector is formed on each of the two first bent portions. A fifth connector is formed on the second signal transmission line. Two second bent portions extend from the second signal transmission line. A sixth connector is formed on each of the two second bent portions. The fourth connector is inserted into each of the two first connectors. The fixing bracket includes two sidewalls mounted on two sides of the fan and a connecting wall mounted on a top of the fan. Two first protrusions are located on each side of the fan; two second protrusions adjacent to the two first protrusions are located on each side of the fan; two first slots are defined in each of the two sidewalls corresponding to the first protrusions; a plurality of second slots are defined in the connecting wall corresponding to the second protrusions; the first protrusions are engaged with the first slots; the second protrusions are engaged with the second slots; and one of the two sidewalls is mounted to the mounting bracket to fix the fan and the fixing bracket on the mounting bracket.

A first sliding member is formed on the first restricting piece. The drive bracket includes a side piece which defines a sliding groove. The sliding groove includes a guiding portion and a restricting portion. The drive bracket includes a handle pivotally mounted thereon. The handle includes a locking portion. The locking portion defines a cutout. The handle is rotated between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the cutout is aligned to the guiding portion to receive the first sliding member in the cutout and the guiding portion. In the second position, the sliding member is restricted in the restricting portion by the locking portion to mount the drive bracket on the top side of the mounting piece.

A mounting apparatus includes a mounting member and a cage configured for receiving a fan. The cage includes two side plates. Each of the two side plates defines a pair of first locking openings. The mounting member includes a body and two first mounting portions extending from each of two opposite sides of the body. An exemplary housing for a hard disk drive includes an enclosure, a bracket slidably mounted in the enclosure, and a panel mounted to the bracket. The bracket supports the hard disk drive thereon. The panel includes a cover pivotably connected to the bracket and an operation bracket mounted to the cover. The panel can be rotated to a closed status where the operation bracket is pulled by a spring to lock with the enclosure, thereby to fix the cover to the enclosure. The panel can also be rotated to an open status where the operation bracket is detached from the enclosure, whereby the bracket can slide out of the enclosure to expose the hard disk drive.
