In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may generate a report for one or more two-step random access channel (RACH) procedures between the UE and a base station (BS), wherein the RACH report includes at least one of an indication of a quantity of message A (MsgA) payloads transmitted during the one or more two-step RACH procedures on each beam of one or more beams associated with the BS, an indication of one or more parameters associated with each MsgA communication transmitted during the one or more two-step RACH procedures, or an indication of whether a respective signal strength for each beam, associated with the one or more two-step RACH procedures, satisfies a signal strength threshold. The UE may transmit the report to the BS. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Two-step random access channel signaling

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a network node configures a quality of service (QoS) profile comprising one or more file-level QoS parameters, wherein the QoS profile applies to one or more files associated with a service flow associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein each file of the one or more files comprises one or more protocol data units (PDUs), and wherein a header of each PDU of the one or more PDUs of the file includes a file identifier and a file type of the file, and enforces the QoS profile on the one or more files.

Parallel handover and failure handling

Methods, systems, and devices for providing feedback about radio link failure (RLF) events that includes information about directional beams. A user equipment (UE) may experience an RLF event and lose connectivity with a network. After the UE reestablish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network, the UE may transmit an RLF report that include information about directional beams, information about a master node and a secondary node in a dual-connectivity procedure, information associated conditional handover procedures, or information about service time interruptions, or a combination thereof. One or more base stations may be configured to transmit at least portions of the information in the RLF report to other base stations as part of a message that may be an example of an RLF indication or a handover report. The message may be transmitted over an X2 interface or an Xn interface.

Techniques for communicating mobility information

In some aspects, a network node may receive, from a source master node, a secondary node release request corresponding to a conditional handover operation associated with a user equipment (UE) operating in accordance with multiple radio access technology dual connectivity, wherein the secondary node release request indicates that the network node is to continue to be a secondary node associated with the UE or that a target secondary node is to be the secondary node associated with the UE. The network node may perform a data transfer operation based at least in part on receiving the secondary node release request. Numerous other aspects are described.

Conditional handover with multiple radio access technology dual connectivity

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a first network entity of a first network of a first network operator. A method includes receiving, from a second network entity of a second network of a second network operator, frequency allocation information indicating a first allocation pattern identifying, for each of at least one cell, a corresponding frequency channel band of a frequency band spanning a plurality of frequency channel bands, wherein the first allocation pattern identifies a first frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands for a first cell of the at least one cell; and sending an indication to at least a first user equipment (UE) indicating to communicate in the first cell using a second frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands that is different than the first frequency channel band.

Spectrum sharing between networks

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communications system may perform measurements of a network while in an idle or an inactive state. The UE may receive, from a base station, an idle mode measurement configuration and a logged measurement configuration for performing measurements while the UE is in the idle state or the inactive state. The UE may determine, from the idle mode measurement configuration, that the measurements are to also be used for minimization of drive test (MDT) reporting. The UE may generate an MDT report based on the idle mode measurement configuration and the logged measurement configuration. The UE may transmit, to the base station, the MDT report based on the idle mode measurement configuration.

Early measurements for logged minimization of drive test

In some wireless communications systems, devices may support minimization of drive test (MDT) reporting, quality of service (QoS) reporting, and quality of experience (QoE) measurements. A user equipment (UE) and the serving base station may obtain measurements in accordance with a measurement configuration that indicates various triggering events or reporting adjustment factors associated with the measurements. The measurement configuration may indicate a triggering event such as the start of an application or service at the UE, and the UE may obtain MDT or QoE measurements based on identifying the application or service. Additionally, the serving base station may obtain MDT and QoE measurements based on identifying the application and service or a notification from the UE. The UE and the serving base station may identify reporting adjustment factors based on network slicing, area configurations and times of the day affecting the reporting interval and reporting amount for the measurement report.

Application, services, and network slice based measurements for minimization of drive test reporting

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for file delivery feedback and/or application feedback for certain application services. An example method generally includes communicating files with a user equipment (UE), each of the files having a plurality of packets, determining that a delivery failure occurred for at least one of the files, and sending, to a server entity, a notification of the delivery failure.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a time to trigger (TTT) and a signal quality threshold. The UE may determine whether one or more conditions are satisfied, and if so, transmit an early measurement report or ignore a conflicting procedure that renders the measurements unavailable. In some examples, a UE may receive an indication of a minimum TTT in a configuration message with the TTT and the signal quality threshold. The UE may indicate an updated timing, to a base station, based on the minimum TTT. In some examples, the base station may determine that a UE is a multi-subscriber identification module (MSIM) UE, and may configure the duration of the TTT accordingly.

Measurement reporting timing adjustments

Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for enhancement in UE cell selection to prioritize cells supporting 5G New Radio (NR) in standalone mode (SA) and in non-standalone (NSA) mode. In some examples, a UE may identify a plurality of cells within an area including a location of the UE. Each cell supports at least one radio access technology (RAT) and at least one frequency. The UE may determine a selection order of the plurality of cells based on the supported RATs and frequency bands to prioritize cells supporting the latest RAT (e.g., 5G NR) and select a serving cell based on the selection order.

An apparatus for receiving wireless communication at a first UE from a first wireless device may include a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The memory and the at least one processor may be configured to receive a user grouping identifying a second UE that communicates with a second wireless device. The memory and the at least one processor may be further configured to receive a control transmission between the second UE and the second wireless device indicating a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and allocated resources for the second wireless device. The memory and the at least one processor may be further configured to apply interference cancellation on at least one of a resource element (RE) or a resource block (RB) received from the first wireless device based on the MCS and allocated resources for the second wireless device.

Transmission coordination to mitigate interference

A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station, multicast data via a multicast channel. The method also includes transmitting, to the base station, multicast feedback based on receiving the multicast data. In some examples, the multicast feedback is associated with a group of UEs including the UE. The method further includes receiving, from the base station, a re-transmission of the multicast data on the multicast channel or a unicast channel based on one or more of a number of UEs served by the base station, a number of UEs from the group of UEs providing the multicast feedback, or a radio channel condition.
