Transition metal cyanide coordination compounds having multiple reactions

A coated phosphor comprises: phosphor particles comprised of a phosphor with composition MSeS:Eu, wherein M is at least one of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Zn and 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1.0; and a coating on individual ones of the phosphor particles, the coating comprising a layer of oxide material encapsulating the individual phosphor particles; wherein the coated phosphor is configured such that under excitation by a blue LED the reduction in photoluminescent intensity at the peak emission wavelength after 1,000 hours of aging at about 85&#xb0; C. and about 85% relative humidity is no greater than about 15%; and wherein the coated phosphor is configured such that the change in chromaticity coordinates CIE(x), &#x394;x, after 1,000 hours of aging at about 85&#xb0; C. and about 85% relative humidity is less than or equal to about 5&#xd7;10.

A white light emitting device or LED-filament comprises: a solid-state light emitter (LED) operable to generate excitation light; a first phosphor associated with the solid-state light emitter to generate light with a peak emission wavelength in a range 500 nm to 575 nm; and a second phosphor associated with the solid-state light emitter to generate light with a peak emission wavelength in a range 600 nm to 650 nm, wherein a percentage decrease in conversion efficiency corresponding to an increase in excitation light photon density exhibited by the second phosphor is larger than a percentage decrease in conversion efficiency corresponding to the same increase in excitation light photon density exhibited by the first phosphor.

Coatings for photoluminescent materials

The present invention provides a cost effective process of generating LiMZO/carbon composite material. Further, this novel method of preparation can be modified by adding a dopant and the calcinations can be carried out using microwave heating to reduce the synthesis time and cost. The LiMZO/carbon composite material can be used as a cathode for a secondary electrochemical cell. Selection of one or more metals in the cathode material can be used change the voltage, the capacity, and the energy density of the electrochemical cell.
