The disclosed are shelf-stable beta-hydroxyisovaleric acid containing soft gel compositions and methods for making such compositions. In certain aspects, disclosed compositions comprise a plant-based capsule shell and a liquid formulation comprising beta-hydroxyisovaleric acid and at least one excipient, wherein the soft gel capsule is shelf-stable. In certain aspects, the excipient is selected from selected from choline salt, betaine, phosphatidylcholine, alpha-glycerophosphocholine, carnitine, adenosine 5'-triphosphate, or a combination thereof.

Stabilization of beta-hydroxyisovaleric acid formulations in soft gel capsules

The present invention provides a method of reducing and controlling a hazardous substance in a process of high-value biological conversion of an urban organic waste. The method includes: 1) mixing a sludge, a first urban organic waste and an organic acid with water for acclimation to obtain an acclimatized sludge; 2) stage 1 of biological conversion: mixing the acclimatized sludge with a second urban organic waste to perform anaerobic culture; 3) stage 2 of biological conversion: adding nitrate and bacteria to continue anaerobic culture so as to obtain an organic acid. In the present invention, sludge microbes are acclimatized and then added to high-value chemicals such as acetic acid, propanoic acid and lactic acid prepared in biological conversion of the urban organic waste and then added with bacteria. Thus, by controlling pH value, microbe addition amount and nitrate concentration, the unfavorable effect of the antibiotics and heavy metal ions.

Method of reducing and controlling hazardous substance in process of high-value biological conversion of urban organic waste

The present invention provides a method of enhancing continuous directional high-value biological conversion of an urban wet garbage open system. The method includes wet garbage crushing, low-energy consumption hydrolysis, continuous conversion of organic components of wet garbage into short-chain fatty acid, continuous directional conversion of other components of short-chain fatty acid into acetic acid, separation and microbial reflux of acetic acid, and the like. In this method, by crushing wet garbage, performing low-energy consumption hydrolysis, and seeding acclimatized activated sludge, two stages of anaerobic fermentations are carried out to firstly convert organic components of the wet garbage continuously into short-chain fatty acid, and then continuously and directionally convert other components of short-chain fatty acid into acetic acid, so as to realize continuous directional high-value biological conversion of the urban wet garbage in an open system without adding pure microbes and a large amount of chemicals.

Method of enhancing continuous directional high-value biological conversion of urban wet garbage open system

A method for treating organic wastewater includes: proceeding with anaerobic fermentation on organic wastewater to obtain a fermentation liquid; nitrifying a portion of the fermentation liquid to obtain a first fermentation liquid containing nitrate nitrogen, and separating the remaining portion of the fermentation liquid to obtain a second fermentation liquid containing propionic acid; mixing the first and second fermentation liquids to obtain a mixture; and removing nitrogen and phosphorus from the mixture and then proceeding with sedimentation to obtain a sediment and a supernatant discharged as purified water. An organic wastewater treating system includes an anaerobic fermentation reactor, an aeration tank, a fermentation liquid separating equipment, a biological removal reactor for removing nitrogen and phosphorus, and a sedimentation tank. The mixing ratio of two fermentation liquids is controlled to achieve balance between carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus during the nitrogen and phosphorus removal process, achieving highly efficient and simultaneous removal of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus without additional carbon source.

Method for treating organic wastewater and organic wastewater treating system

A method for reducing release of resistance genes during sludge anaerobic treatment includes controlling concentration of to-be-treated sludge in a concentration tank to be 12-20 g/L by sedimentation under gravity. The concentrated sludge is transferred to a supersonic pre-treatment device to proceed with supersonic pre-treatment. The supersonic pre-treatment is conducted for 5-30 minutes at a power of 0.1-0.5 kW and a frequency of 10-40 kHz. The pre-treated sludge is then transferred to an anaerobic treatment device for anaerobic treatment. The anaerobic treatment is conducted for 4-12 days at a temperature of 20-37&#xb0; C. The release amount of resistance genes in the residual sludge and the supernatant liquid in the anaerobic treatment device is detected. A feedback dosage of an alkali liquid is fed into the anaerobic treatment device according to the release amount of the resistance genes, controlling a pH value to be 9.0-11.0 during the anaerobic treatment.
