The field of molded articles and fiber-reinforced thermoplastic compositions for obtaining them. The use of the reinforced thermoplastic composition for obtaining a thin molded article with reduced warpage. The composition may include: from 30 to 70% by weight of an amorphous polyamide matrix by total weight of the composition; from 30 to 70% by weight of glass fibers with a circular cross-section by total weight of the composition; and optionally additives.

Use of a reinforced thermoplastic composition

The use of at least one MXDZ polyamide, obtained from the polycondensation of meta-xylylenediamine (MXD), with a Cto Caliphatic (Z) dicarboxylic acid, in particular Cto C, in a mixture including at least one aliphatic polyamide A obtained from the polycondensation of a unit selected from: a Cto Clactam, a Cto Camino acid, and an XY unit obtained from the polycondensation of a Cto C, aliphatic diamine (X), especially Cto C, and a Cto Caliphatic dicarboxylic acid (Y), especially Cto C, circular-section glass fibres and optionally at least one impact modifier and/or at least one additive, said at least one MXDZ polyamide and said mixture constituting a composition, and the MXDZ/A weight ratio being from 0.11 to 0.83, in particular from 0.11 to 0.66, to limit the warping of said composition during processing, in particular by injection or compression moulding.

Use of a semi-aromatic polyamide in a mixture of aliphatic polyamide comprising circular-section glass fibres to limit warping

The use of circular-section glass fibres in a mixture including at least one MXDZ polyamide, obtained from polycondensation of meta-xylylenediamine (MXD), with a Cto Caliphatic (Z) dicarboxylic acid, and at least one aliphatic polyamide A obtained from the polycondensation of a unit selected from: a Cto Clactam, a Cto Camino acid, and an XY unit obtained from the polycondensation of a Cto Caliphatic diamine (X), and a Cto Caliphatic dicarboxylic acid (Y), circular-section glass fibres and optionally at least one impact modifier and/or at least one additive, said circular-section glass fibres and said mixture constituting a composition, said circular-section glass fibres being present from 30 to 75% by weight and with respect to the total weight of the composition, to improve the mechanical properties of said composition, including elongation at break, after processing, in particular by injection or compression moulding.
