A display device includes a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on a substrate and spaced apart from each other, a light emitting element on the substrate and having a first end and a second end, a third electrode disposed on the light emitting element, and electrically connecting the first electrode with the first end of the light emitting element, an insulating pattern disposed on the third electrode and exposing the second end of the light emitting element, and a fourth electrode on the substrate, and electrically connecting the second electrode with the second end of the light emitting element. A void may be formed between the light emitting element and the insulating pattern.

The display element layer may include: a partition wall provided on the emission area of each of the sub-pixels; a bank provided on the non-emission area of each sub-pixel, and disposed on a surface equal to a surface on which the partition wall is disposed; a first electrode and a second electrode provided on the partition wall and spaced apart from each other; and at least one light emitting element provided between the first and second electrodes in the emission area of each sub-pixel, and configured to emit the light.

Display device and manufacturing method thereof

A display device may include a first sub-pixel including a first light emitting element disposed in a first sub-pixel area of a substrate, a second sub-pixel including a second light emitting element disposed in a second sub-pixel area located in a first direction with respect to the first sub-pixel area of the substrate, a bank layer disposed between the first and second sub-pixels, a first color filter pattern disposed on the first sub-pixel and the bank layer, and a second color filter pattern disposed on the second sub-pixel and the bank layer. The first light emitting element may emit light having a first color. The second light emitting element may emit light having a second color. The first color filter pattern and the second color filter pattern may at least partially overlap each other on the bank layer.

A display device includes a pixel disposed in a display area. The pixel includes a first electrode; a first insulating layer disposed on the first electrode, and including openings, each of the openings exposing different areas of the first electrode and defining respective cells; light emitting elements disposed in the respective cells, each of the light emitting elements including a first end electrically connected to the first electrode; and a second end protruding upward from the first insulating layer; and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting elements, and electrically connected to the second ends of each of the light emitting elements.

Pixel, display device having same and production method therefor

A display device may include a pixel circuit layer. A first electrode and a second electrode may be on the pixel circuit layer and spaced from each other. A first insulating layer may be on the pixel circuit layer, the first electrode, and the second electrode. A conductive pattern may be on the first insulating layer and electrically insulated from the first electrode and the second electrode. The bank may be on the conductive pattern. Light emitting elements may be located on the first insulating layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, and electrically coupled to the first electrode and the second electrode.

A light emitting device may include a first electrode disposed on a substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the substrate and overlapping at least a part of the first electrode; a second electrode disposed on the first insulating layer and spaced apart from the first electrode; and at least one light emitting diode electrically connected between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode may be disposed on different layers on the substrate, the first insulating layer is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the first electrode and the second electrode are spaced apart from each other so as not to overlap each other in a plan view.

A display device may include a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, and pixels provided on the display area. Each pixel includes sub-pixels each including an emission area and a non-emission area. Each of the sub-pixels may include a display element layer including at least one light emitting element that emits light. A light emitting device may include: a substrate including emission areas; a first electrode disposed on the substrate, and a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode; at least one light emitting element disposed on the substrate, and including a first end and a second end; an insulating layer disposed on the light emitting element and allowing the first and second ends of the light emitting element to be exposed; a first contact electrode electrically connecting the first electrode with the first end of the light emitting element; a second contact electrode electrically connecting the second electrode with the second end of the light emitting element; and a passivation pattern disposed on each of the first and second contact electrodes. The first and second contact electrodes may be disposed on the insulating layer and spaced apart from each other and may be electrically separated from each other.

A light emitting device may include: a first emission area including a first light emitting diode: a second emission area including a second light emitting diode, at least one pair of first and second partition walls facing each other in each of the first and second emission areas at least one first electrode on the first partition wall to cover the first partition wall, and being electrically connected to a first end of at least one of the first and second light emitting diodes; and at least one second electrode on the second partition wall to cover the second partition wall, and being electrically connected to a second end of at least one of the first and second light emitting diodes.
