Present disclosure provides a method for determining if an event relates to an unauthorized subject, the method comprising: determining a likelihood of how the event is similar to at least one of: (i) at least one event of a list of events relating to the unauthorized subject and (ii) at least one of a list of events relating to an authorized subject, each event of the list of events comprising data identifying the unauthorized subject, the determination of likelihood being based on the data identifying the unauthorized subject; and determining the event to relate to the unauthorized subject in response to the determination of the likelihood.

Determining if an event relates to an unauthorized subject

In one aspect, a method includes receiving an image of a target subject; determining a direction in response to the receipt of the image, the direction being one in which the target subject was likely to move during a time period in the past or is likely to move during a time period in the future; determining a target area within which another image of the target subject can be expected to appear based on the determined direction; and determining if a portion of a subsequent image is outside the determined target area to identify if the subsequent image is one relating to the target subject, wherein the subsequent image is one taken during the time period in the past or during the time period in the future.

Method of identifying a target subject, apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium

Present disclosure provides a method for managing an event to generate an alert indicating a subject is likely to be unauthorized, the event comprising data identifying the subject, the method comprising: within a pre-determined period based on a timestamp at which the event is stored in a cache, detecting a recall event comprising the data identifying the subject, the recall event indicating the subject is not likely to be unauthorized; and removing the event from the cache in response to detecting the recall event comprising the data identifying the subject within the pre-determined period.
