Allocating radio resources using artificial intelligence

Systems and methods for supporting random access for wireless devices have different levels of random access pre-compensation and/or Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) capabilities are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless device comprises obtaining two or more random access configurations for two or more wireless device classes that support different levels of pre-compensation for random access, have different GNSS capabilities, or both. The method further comprises selecting a random access configuration to be used by the wireless device from the two or more random access configurations. In this manner, random access is tailored to the capabilities of the wireless device.

Transmission scheduling in a wireless communication network

A method for a UE () to transmit HARQ feedback for data transmissions from a wireless network is disclosed. The UE receives (), from the network, a first data message associated with a first HARQ process and a second data message associated with a second HARQ process. At least one of the first and second HARQ processes is disabled. The second data message is received after the first data message. The UE selectively transmits (), at a first occasion after the first data message, first HARQ feedback for the first data message based on whether the first HARQ process is enabled or disabled. The UE selectively transmits, at a second occasion after the second data message, second HARQ feedback for the second data message based on the following: whether the second HARQ process is enabled or disabled, an order of the first and second occasions, and an out-of-order scheduling restriction.

Methods and apparatus for disabled HARQ processes

The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. To transmit the user data from the host computer to the wireless device, a network node sends a first control message for assigning a PDSCH, the first control message comprising a first MCS indication as described. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. Systems and methods for reliable Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) ACK/NACK confirmation are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: being configured with at least one feedback enabled Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process while the remaining HARQ processes of the wireless device have feedback disabled; receiving an activation/deactivation command requiring feedback, where the receiving uses the at least one feedback enabled HARQ process; and/or transmitting feedback regarding the activation/deactivation command. In this way, the wireless device is enabled to send HARQ ACK/NACK feedback related to critical activation/deactivation MAC CE commands in a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). Furthermore, in the presence of large one way delay, this ensures that there is no mismatch between the base station and the wireless device as to when the wireless device can assume the activation/deactivation information in the MAC CE command can takes effect at the wireless device.

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a network node for communicating with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to receive measurement capability information of a wireless device where the measurement capability information indicates an ability to perform a global navigation satellite system, GNSS, measurement. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a GNSS measurement gap configuration during which the wireless device is to perform at least one GNSS measurement during at least one GNSS measurement gap where the GNSS measurement gap configuration is based at least in part on the received measurement capability information, and indicate the GNSS measurement gap configuration to the wireless device.
