A system includes a location controller for a building, a container arranged to store items, and a device attached to the container. The device includes a first radio and a light emitting diode. The first radio emits a signal. The location controller determines a first location of the device in the building based on the signal and communicates, based on the first location of the device in the building, a first instruction to the device indicating that the device should be moved to a second location. The light emitting diode emits light of a first color in response to the first instruction.

Container location and status tracking device

A circuit board can be configured to access features and controls associated with a third-party circuit board. One or more spring-loaded pins or other connectors can contact one or more interaction points of the third-party circuit boards and form a connection. The circuit board can include a common or generic interface that the connections with the third-party circuit board are routed through by the circuit board. The generic interface can then connect the circuit board and third-party circuit board to external power sources, telecommunication devices, and connection ports. Based on the connection between the circuit board and the third-party circuit board, a user device can be assigned to and remotely access the features and controls of the third-party circuit board.

Disclosed are various embodiments for generating location confirmation models using crowdsourced wireless fingerprints. Wireless fingerprints can be generated and associated with a given location during events that use proximity to specific locations. The wireless fingerprints can be processed to generate location confirmation models that can be used for location confirmation. Periodically, the collected wireless fingerprints can be analyzed and compared to previously collected wireless fingerprints to detect a change in a wireless infrastructure at the given location. Upon determining that a previously generated location confirmation model is invalid according to a level of significance of the change, the outdated wireless fingerprints can be identified and removed from storage or otherwise ignored for future models. An updated location confirmation model can be generated using the up-to-date wireless fingerprints.

Location confirmation using crowdsourced wireless fingerprints

With respect to a package delivery system configured to optimize efficiencies associated with package delivery, a server computing device may monitor locations and conditions associated with a fleet of vehicles. A vehicle including a first delivery person may be dispatched with packages for delivery. The server computing device may provide updated delivery routes based on traffic and/or other conditions in the environment. At the completion of a work shift associated with the first delivery person, the vehicle may be parked at a location proximate the delivery route. The server computing device may dispatch a second delivery person to the location. Based on an indication that the second delivery person is proximate the vehicle, the server computing device may cause a user interface to surface on a computing device of the second delivery person, enabling the second delivery person to unlock the vehicle and continue delivering the packages.

Optimized package delivery

Embodiments herein describe a beacon that is used to verify a location of a user and provide access to a secure location (e.g., a locked building). The beacon includes a radio frequency reader which communicates with a tag (e.g., an NFC or RFID tag) disposed on a same surface as the beacon. For example, the beacon may cover the tag on the surface (e.g., a wall next to a locked door or access point into the secure location). The reader in the beacon can periodically perform a read cycle to identify the presence of the tag to ensure the beacon has not been removed. If during one or more cycles the reader does not detect the tag, the beacon can deactivate the beacon and no longer transmit the location verification code.

Disclosed are various embodiments for anonymously validating the identities of multiple parties participating a transaction. In one embodiment, a system is configured to determine a location of the system is within a proximity threshold of a location and transmit an arrival indication to a remote computing device. The system is also configured to receive an encryption key from the remote computing device and detect a client device located at the location. The encryption key can be transmitted to the client device for validation that the location of the computing device is the location.

Privacy-preserving identity-validated transactions

A particular device is provided with a communications module to receive signals of a plurality of devices within range of the particular device and further provisioned with grouping logic. The grouping logic is executable by one or more processors to determine from each of the signals a respective identifier for each of the plurality of devices, determine, based at least in part on the identifiers, that a particular subset of the plurality of devices are also included with the particular device in a particular one of a plurality of defined groups, and converge data received from the particular subset of devices based on the particular group.

A delivery confirmation of a package at a delivery location may be determined based on a communication protocol between a user device and a package device associated with the package. A user can order an item and anticipate a delivery of the item to a delivery location associated with the user. A delivery device can determine that it has entered a geographic region associated with the delivery location. The delivery device and/or a user device associated with the delivery location can determine, using the communication protocol, that the delivery device is within a range of the user device. Then, the user device can receive a package device identifier associated with the package device, determine that the package device is within the range of the user device, and determine a delivery confirmation of the package.

Beacon-based delivery confirmation

Embodiments presented herein describe a package management system that uses guidance devices when transporting packages. In one embodiment, the package management system includes an event detecting device that detects a package transporting event such as when a package is sorted into a container, a container is moved from the warehouse to vehicle, a container is moved from a vehicle into a warehouse, a package is delivered, a package is moved to a staging location, or a package is picked-up from a staging location. Once a container or staging location corresponding to the event is identified, a gateway identifies the guidance device assigned to that container or staging location and instructs the guidance device to illuminate a light disposed thereon.

Transporting packages using light guided operations

Embodiments presented herein describe a package management system that uses guidance devices when transporting packages. In one embodiment, the package management system includes an event detecting device that detects a package transporting event such as when a package is sorted into a container, a container is moved from the warehouse to vehicle, a container is moved from a vehicle into a warehouse, or a package is delivered. For example, the event detecting device may trigger the event in response to a worker scanning a bar code, selecting a delivery route, or checking an electronic manifest. Once a container corresponding to the event is identified, a gateway identifies the guidance device assigned to that container and instructs the guidance device to illuminate a light disposed thereon.

An automatic code generator that may be located at a server may generate code to handle crowdsourced data. The crowdsourced data may come from members of the public using automatic data collection technology on mobile devices, in one embodiment.

Systems and methods to generate maps or models of structures are disclosed. Features of the structure to be mapped may be determined for the purposes of generating the map or model based at least in part on images associated with the structure, sensor measurements associated with the structure, and phase data of communications signals that interact with the structure. The mapping or modeling processes may be performed at a mapping server that receives images, sensor data, and/or communications signal phase information from one or more user devices, such as mobile devices. The mapping servers may perform a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) process and may enhance the generated maps using sensor and/or communications phase data to map one or more hidden features of the structure.

Systems and methods for mapping

A magnetic resonance technology is used to implement front and back proximity sensing capability for wireless devices such as a laptap device. For example, a high quality (Q) factor coil antenna may be embedded in a display, such as a liquid crystal display, of a first laptap device to detect other wireless devices (e.g., a second laptap) that are within coupling distance of the first laptap device. In this example, the second laptap device induces a sine wave signal to the first laptap device if the second laptap device is physically located at backside of the first laptap device. Otherwise, the second laptap device may induce a cosine wave signal to the first laptap device if the second laptap device is physically located at the front side of the first laptap device.

Systems and methods to provide distributed wireless communications from a plurality of wireless network devices are disclosed. The plurality of wireless network devices may be configured to provide direction communications with one or more user devices. This may be performed by adjusting one or more radio parameters associated with the plurality of wireless network devices. The plurality of wireless network devices may cooperate with each other to provide network connectivity for the one or more user devices with relatively high fidelity, relatively high bandwidth, and relatively low power consumption.
