Methods and nodes () for managing position information associated with a group of wireless devices (-) configured to be served in a wireless communication network (). It is obtained (--) information indicating a first wireless device () as member and positioning representative of the group and at least one other, second, wireless device () as further member of the group. Said at least one second wireless device () being able to communicate wirelessly and directly with the first wireless device () over a direct communication link (). A position of said at least one second wireless device () is estimated based on communication of positioning supporting information over said direct communication link ().

Methods and nodes for managing position information associated with a group of wireless devices

A method, performed by a wireless device (), for reporting at least one measurement to a network node () is disclosed. The wireless device () determines () an extended format to be used for reporting, to the network node (), at least one of: a code phase measurement, a carrier phase measurement or a GNSS Signal ID. The extended format extends at least one of: a range or a resolution, of an existing format for reporting the at least one of: the code phase measurement, the carrier phase measurement or the GNSS Signal ID. The wireless device () then sends () a measurement report comprising the at least one of: the code phase measurement, the carrier phase measurement or the GNSS Signal ID, to the network node (), using the determined extended format. A method performed by the network node () is also described, whereby the network node () receives the measurement report.

Wireless device, network node and methods therein for reporting a measurement

Embodiments relate to a location server, a wireless device and methods performed therein for positioning the wireless device. The wireless device () is arranged to perform measurements associated to estimating the position of the wireless device (), wherein the wireless device () is configured to: perform a code phase measurement on a satellite signal between a satellite and the wireless device (), wherein the code phase measurement indicates a number of cycles of a code phase of the satellite signal, the number comprising a first integer part and a first fractional part; perform a carrier phase measurement on the first fractional part; and send to a location server () a report of the code phase measurement and the carrier phase measurement, for estimating the position of the wireless device ().
