A brush assembly for a brush motor includes a support member, brush holders, at least four brushes respectively mounted to the brush holders, and first and second motor terminals for connecting with an external power supply. A first filter circuit is connected between the first motor terminal and corresponding first brushes. A second filter circuit is connected between the second motor terminal and corresponding second brushes. The first and second motor terminals and the first and second filter circuits are mounted in a region defined by two corresponding adjacent brushes forming an angle greater than 60 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

Brush assembly

A fuse component configured to provide overcurrent protection for an electric motor comprises a spiral fuse portion and a magnetic core. The spiral fuse portion encloses at least a part of the magnetic core, so that the fuse component is also configured to function as a choke of the electric motor.

Fuse component and electric motor incorporating the same

A fan and a motor thereof are provided. The motor includes a motor drive device. The motor drive device includes a printed circuit board. A control management unit and a voltage converter are arranged on the printed circuit board, the control management unit classifies target rotation speed signals provided by an ECU into multiple rotation speed intervals, with each rotation speed interval corresponding to a fixed duty ratio. The control management unit receives a target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU in a real-time manner, and outputs a pulse width modulation signal having a duty ratio corresponding to the rotation speed interval to which the target rotation speed signal transmitted from the ECU belongs. The voltage converter is connected between the power source and the winding, and is configured to regulate a voltage outputted to the winding in response to the pulse width modulation signal having the fixed duty ratio outputted from the control management unit, to control a rotation speed of the motor. The motor drive device performs segment control on the rotation speed of the motor, thereby reducing the cost.

A brush motor has a housing, an end cap and a brush assembly. The brush assembly includes an brush card, brush cages disposed on the brush card, brushes mounted in the respective brush cages, terminals for connecting with an external power supply, and power supply circuits connecting the terminals to the respective brushes. The brush assembly further includes at least one grounding conductor mounted to the brush card and electrically connected to the power supply circuits. The grounding conductor includes a main portion fixed to the brush card and a tongue extending from the main portion. The tongue includes a bent portion for resilient connection to the end cap or housing.

A commutated DC motor () includes a stator () and a rotor () mounted in the stator (). The stator () has 2P magnetic poles, wherein P is an integer greater than 1. The rotor () includes a rotor shaft () with a rotor core (), and a commutator () fixed thereto. The rotor core () has multiple teeth defining m&#xd7;P slots therebetween, wherein m is an odd integer greater than 1. The commutator () has k&#xd7;m&#xd7;P segments, wherein k is 1 or 2. A rotor winding () formed by winding a single continuous wire is received in the slots of the rotor core () and connected to the segments of the commutator (), and has k&#xd7;m winding units. Each winding unit includes P coils in series connection and is directly connected to only two segments.

An engine cooling system incorporates a cooling fan module having a motor and a fan driven by the motor. The motor has a motor housing and two end caps disposed at respective ends of the motor housing. Each of the end caps has at least one axial hole to allow air to flow through the motor to dissipate heat from inside the motor. The motor also has a dust screen disposed inside the motor and adjacent each of the axial holes for preventing external particles entering the motor through the axial hole. Each dust screen has a plurality of apertures to allow air to flow through the motor but prevents dust particles entering the motor.

A electric motor has a stator and a rotor. The stator comprises a housing and a plurality of magnets fixed to an inner surface of said housing by a frame member. The magnets are embedded in the frame member. A plurality of first grooves are formed in an outside peripheral surface of the frame member, each of said first grooves extending axially from one axial surface of said frame member and having a axial length smaller than the axial height of said frame member. The housing has a plurality of first anchors formed on its inner surface, each of the first anchors engaging with a corresponding one of the first grooves.
