A battery assembly includes a battery cell with leads extending from the battery and a circuit including a substrate and contacts that extend from the substrate. The leads are coupled to the contacts by mechanical or adhesive bonds located on sections of the contacts extending from the substrate. In various implementations, the circuit may include a variety of different components coupled to the substrate. Such components may be operable to perform a variety of functions such as regulating, monitoring, controlling, and/or otherwise managing the battery cell. Such components may include one or more battery management units, safety circuits, capacity gauges, and/or other components.

Coupling tolerance accommodating contacts or leads for batteries

The present disclosure allows transmission of multiple signals between masthead electronics and base housing electronics in a base station environment. At least some of the received signals from the multiple antennas are translated to being centered about different center frequencies, such that the translated signals may be combined into a composite signal including each of the received signals. The composite signal is then sent over a single feeder cable to base housing electronics, wherein the received signals are separated and processed by transceiver circuitry. Prior to being provided to the transceiver circuitry, those signals that were translated from being centered about one frequency to another may be retranslated to being centered about the original center frequency.

This invention relates to variable gain amplifiers. The general technique described consists of adding gain elements in parallel in order to create multiple-gain amplifier stages versus the usual dual-gain amplifier stages separated from one another by DC level shift modules. The gain elements are enabled or disabled individually in combinations, which provide a range of controlled gain steps. The main advantages are that current consumption and design complexity are greatly reduced, thereby increasing operating battery life of the device using this type of amplifier.
