Described herein are aspects of a three-dimensional (3D) piezoelectric structure that can be composed of a 3D periodic microlattice that can be composed of a piezoelectric composite material, wherein the 3D periodic microlattice can include a plurality of interconnected 3D node units capable of generating a piezoelectric response upon application of a stress to the 3D periodic microlattice, and wherein the plurality of interconnected 3D node units can form a tailored piezoelectric tensor space. Also described herein are systems that can include one or more of the 3D piezoelectric structures described herein. Also described herein are methods of making and using the 3D piezoelectric structures described herein.

Three-dimensional piezoelectric materials and uses thereof

A device for securing and monitoring movement of a catheter includes a film having an adhesive disposed on a body-facing surface for securing the film to a body. The device also includes a base mounted on the film, the base comprising a first portion of a guide channel for receiving the catheter. A cover is coupled to the base via a hinge, the cover comprising a second portion of the guide channel, the cover further comprising a rounded portion extending from a distal end of the cover, wherein in the closed configuration, the catheter is completely enclosed by the rounded portion and the first and second portions of the guide channel. The device also includes a positional shift indicator fixedly attached to the catheter and configured to indicate positional shifts by the catheter within the guide channel.

Devices for monitoring movement of a secured catheter during a procedure

Described herein are electroless material deposition methods and techniques that can be used to deposit one or more materials on a structure in a selective manner such that deposition can occur in predetermined areas. The methods and techniques of selective electroless material deposition methods described herein can be used to selectively deposit material(s) on 3D printed structures. In some aspects, the 3D structures can contain micro-features that can have one or more materials selectively deposited on their surface in one or more locations.

Selective deposition of materials for composite structures via additive manufacturing

Disclosed here is a method for making a three-dimensional micro-architected aerogel, comprising: (a) curing a reaction mixture comprising a co-sol-gel material (e.g., graphene oxide (GO)) and at least one catalyst to obtain a crosslinked co-sol-gel (e.g., GO hydrogel); (b) providing a photoresin comprising a solvent, a photoinitiator, a crosslinkable polymer precursor, and a dispersion of the crosslinked co-sol-gel (e.g., GO hydrogel); (c) curing the photoresin using projection microstereolithography layer-by-layer to produce a wet gel having a pre-designed three-dimensional structure; (d) drying the wet gel to produce a dry gel; and (e) pyrolyzing the dry gel to produce a three-dimensional micro-architected aerogel (e.g., graphene aerogel). Also disclosed is a photoresin for projection microstereolithography, comprising a solvent, a photoinitiator, a crosslinkable polymer precursor, and a dispersion of a crosslinked co-sol-gel.

Additive manufacturing of hierarchical three- dimensional micro-architected aerogels

A functionally graded material is formed by pipetting individual micro-or-nano-litter droplets with a variety of materials including multi-nanostructured material (nanowires, carbon nanotubes, enzymes, multi-element and/or multi-color, multi-biomolecules) and UV polymerization of the flat hydrogel meniscus surface formed at the carrier fluid interface. After step-by-step droplet pipetting and subsequent layer-by-layer UV polymerization via a digital mask, the complete fabricated part without supporting layers is taken out of the carrier fluid while the un-cured micro-litter residue is conveniently suctioned out of the carrier fluid.

Emulsion stereolithography and 3D printing of multimaterials and nanoscale material gradients

Provided herein are 3D printing systems including, but not limited to, 3D printing systems that can, in some aspects, be configured to print multi-materials and/or 3D structures having micro-scale features. In some aspects, the 3D printing system can include a jethead, wherein the jethead can include a body portion, one or more printing material dispensers that are each coupled to one or more feedstock material reservoirs and the body portion, and at least one cleaning unit configured to clean a printed object, a printing platform, a component of an x axis cartridge, or any combination thereof. Also provided herein are scanning projection optical micro-sterolithography systems that can be configured to allow for printing micro-scale features in large scale 3D objects.

3D printing systems and methods thereof

In one embodiment, a composition of matter includes: a plurality of ligaments each independently comprising one or more layers of graphene; where the plurality of ligaments are arranged according to a deterministic three-dimensional (3D) pattern. In another embodiment, a method of forming a deterministic three-dimensional (3D) architecture of graphene includes: forming or providing a substrate structurally characterized by a predefined 3D pattern; forming one or more layers of metal on surfaces of the substrate; and forming one or more layers of graphene on surfaces of the metal.

Device with open cutout design for securement and position verification of medical catheters

An additive manufacturing system utilizing an oxygen-permeable membrane to facilitate low-volume printing and high-speed resin change in a stereolithography-based 3D printer. The membrane is used to constrain the fluid surface at the focal plane of the stereolithography printer and a carrier fluid is used to hold the fluid against the membrane. The small amount of resin is quickly switched using integrated microfluidic channels.

Additive manufacturing with integrated microliter resin delivery

An antimicrobial, securement, and position verification device for medical catheters is disclosed. A film, medical grade adhesive, and antimicrobial substance disposed on the medical grade adhesive operate in conjunction to secure the device to the patient's skin and to prevent infections. The catheter is secured by guide channels in the foundation and securement cover through the use of one or more adhesives impregnated with antimicrobial substances. The device further comprises catheter position alert media and indicators configured to indicate any unintentional positional changes.
