The method also can comprise receiving, by the first device, negative acknowledgement data from the second device. The negative acknowledgement data can indicate that the second device fails to support a modulation and coding protocol of the data packet.

Facilitating outer loop link adaptation in advanced networks

Channel state information (CSI) can be transmitted to a network node incrementally to increase network efficiency. The CSI feedback framework can be enhanced by allowing a user equipment (UE) to report multiple sets of CSI feedback, where each set can comprise a rank indicator (RI), a pre-coder matrix indicator (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI). Since a different set may have a different sub-band, the CSI feedback framework can support the sub-band rank, wherein rank data from a wideband and the sub-band can be used by the network.

Facilitation of incremental feedback for 5G or other next generation network

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating updating a slot format used for establishing a radio sidelink. According an embodiment, a system can receive a slot format over a sidelink, wherein the slot format comprises a first release parameter and a transmit period. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first release parameter matches a second release parameter stored in the memory. The system can further facilitate, in response to the determining indicating that the first release parameter matched the second release parameter, updating a resource map used to transmit data, resulting in an updated resource map. The system can further facilitate transmitting the slot format based on the transmit period.

Forward compatible new radio sidelink slot format signalling

The described technology is generally directed towards operating a user equipment node as a scheduler user equipment (e.g., which can be a local manager of other nodes in a group). The scheduler user equipment receives a scheduling request for the scheduling of the resources for transmission of data by a transmitter user equipment, and based on the traffic type requested, schedules the transmitter user equipment and receiver user equipment(s) with scheduling data/allocated radio resources. The transmitter user equipment can directly transmit to the receiver user equipment(s) on the allocated radio resources, e.g., without further involvement of the scheduler user equipment/local manager. For cellular data, the scheduler user equipment can schedule the transmitter user equipment to transmit to the scheduler user equipment as a receiver node.

Wireless communication framework for multiple user equipment

Intelligent hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback can better support link adaption. Thus, in addition to the traditional HARQ feedback, which is to relay acknowledgement (ACK) and negative acknowledgement (NAK) data based on a decoding result, a new state for the HARQ feedback can be represented as 'ACK+'. Consequently, ACK+ can be used to indicate to the network that a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a current data packet is too conservative, and the user equipment (UE) is capable of supporting a more aggressive MCS.

Hybrid automatic repeat request feedback for outer loop adaptation for 5G or other next generation network

Technologies directed to correcting terrestrial interference using narrowband adaptive filtering and beamforming technology are described. One method includes receiving a first and second radio frequency (RF) signal. The method includes generating first digital samples corresponding to the first RF signal using a first sample rate and generating second digital samples corresponding to the first RF signal using a second sample rate that is lower than the first sample rate. The method further includes generating third digital samples corresponding to the second RF signal using the second sample rate. The method further includes determining parameters associated with a filtering process using the second digital samples and the third digital samples. The method further includes generating fourth digital samples using the parameters of the filtering process. The method further includes removing a first portion from the first RF signal using the first digital samples and the fourth digital samples.

Architecture and algorithm for low complexity terrestrial interference cancellation

Aspects of the technology described herein are directed towards using generic control information in a three-party wireless communication system to schedule a data transmission and reception of the data transmission. A scheduler node transmits the generic control information, comprising identification information that identifies a user equipment device as a transmitter node, and scheduling information that schedules a data transmission. For unicast data transmissions, the generic control information further identifies a receiver node, and can schedule transmission of an ACK/NACK from the receiver node corresponding to receiving the data transmission. A control procedure can be configured in a user equipment device by linking a channel configuration dataset to a resource configuration dataset, which in turn is linked to a channel transmit and receive configuration dataset. Reconfiguration is achieved by changing the linking(s) between one or more different available datasets.

Generic control channel configuration for new radio sidelink

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a power control system in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network. In the multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network, a donor node can communicate with user equipment devices and relay nodes that have varying power levels; and to avoid receiving uplink transmissions with varying power levels which can impact automatic gain control systems and lower overall throughput, the power control system can manage the power levels of the relay node in order to reduce the difference in power levels. The power control system can schedule relay node devices to transmit uplink transmissions alongside user equipment devices that have a high signal strength; schedule relay nodes and user equipment devices to separate symbols within a time slot; and/or perform closed loop power control management at the relay node to reduce the power level for an uplink transmission.

Power control enhancements for multi-hop integrated access and backhaul

An early termination system for blind decoding is provided to decrease the computational resources utilized when decoding the physical resources, and decrease the time spent decoding. A blind decoding priority list can be used by the mobile device to preferentially decode specific physical resource elements as it specifies the order of all the candidate physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs). When the physical resource elements are decoded, if there is no more downlink control information in that transmission time interval, the downlink control information can include a termination bit, and the mobile device, upon identifying the termination bit can cease blind decoding of the remainder candidates. In this way, the blind decoding process more quickly identifies the downlink control information, and subsequent blind decoding is halted.

Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating creating a mesh connectivity between network nodes in a hierarchical network. According an embodiment, a method comprising receiving a first condition, wherein the first condition indicates whether to setup a mesh connection with a first distributed unit node of a first node device. The method further comprising, in response to determining that the first condition indicates establishment of the mesh connection, facilitating establishing a peer-to-peer connection directly with the first distributed unit node of the first node device and a second distributed unit node of a second node device, wherein the first distributed unit node comprises wireless communication technologies and the second distributed unit node comprises wireless communication technologies. The method further comprising facilitating transmission of a control message or a user plane message in order to exchange connection information between the first distributed unit node and the second distributed unit node.

Mesh connectivity between network nodes in hierarchical network

A hybrid beamforming device utilizes analog beamformers (ABF) and digital beamformers (DBF) to produce a desired radio frequency radiation pattern having one or more lobes pointing in particular directions. A set of directions, such as each pointing toward a different candidate area of the sky, are processed to determine a coarse direction. ABF beam coefficients are determined based on the coarse direction. DBF beam coefficients are determined based on the directions in the set of directions, providing more precise directionality in the pattern. The ABF beam coefficients may be sent to the ABFs at a first cadence, such as every second. The DBF beam coefficients may be sent to the DBFs at a second cadence that is faster than the first cadence, such as every millisecond. This facilitates rapid scanning of different precision directions, such as of different portions of the sky to receive a broadcast transmission from a satellite.

System for operating hybrid beamforming device

Facilitating a group hybrid automatic repeat request procedure for sidelink group-case in advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, 6G, and beyond) is provided herein. Operations of a method can comprise determining, by a first device comprising a processor, that first information received via a sidelink control channel is successfully decoded and that second information received via a sidelink shared channel is not successfully decoded. The first information and the second information can be received from a second device. Further, the method can comprise transmitting, by the first device, negative acknowledgement data based on a group hybrid automatic repeat request feedback procedure. The method also can comprise receiving, by the first device, retransmission of the second information via the sidelink shared channel from a group of devices in response to the negative acknowledgement data.

Facilitating a group hybrid automatic repeat request procedure for sidelink group case in advanced networks

A satellite provides communication between user terminals (UTs) and ground stations that connect to other networks, such as the Internet. To establish initial contact with a satellite, a UT searches for a satellite's beacon using a phased array or other steerable antenna with a directional receive pattern. The UT retrieves a sky coverage map and stored satellite ephemeris data. The sky coverage map defines discrete areas of the entire sky, with each area based on satellite beacon coverage areas, receive beamwidth of the UT receive antenna, and receive antenna horizon limits. Based on a geolocation of the UT, time, and the ephemeris data, a predicted area in the sky of the satellite is determined. Candidate areas of the sky coverage map are determined that overlap the predicted area, and the receive antenna is directed to search the candidate areas for the satellite beacon.

According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include generating a reference signal in an initial domain, and first transforming the reference signal into a time-frequency domain, resulting in a first transformed reference signal. The operations can further include transmitting the first transformed reference signal to a user equipment for a second transformation to be applied to the transformed reference signal by the user equipment, resulting in a second transformed reference signal. Further, in response to the transmitting the first transformed reference signal, receiving a signal from the user equipment that was configured, based on the second transformed reference signal.
