Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a roaming network access method and apparatus, where the method includes: obtaining a mobile country code MCC of a roaming area; obtaining a preferential roaming list, where the preferential roaming list is used to indicate information about at least one network that a user preferentially attempts to register with when the user is roaming; selecting a network that matches the MCC from the preferential roaming list and searching for the selected network; and each time a network is found by the searching, attempting to register with the found network. By means of the roaming network access method and apparatus provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, duration of network searching performed by user equipment is shortened, time spent by the user equipment on initial network access in the roaming area is reduced.

A method can be implemented by a user equipment to update RPLMN information. A PLMN identifier is selected from an available PLMN identifier set that includes PLMN identifiers with RPLMN information, HPLMN information, UPLMN information, and OPLMN information separately. A location update request message that carries the PLMN identifier is sent to a mobile switching center. A TMSI reallocation command is acquired from the mobile switching center according to the location update request message. It is determined whether location update acceptance information that is returned by the mobile switching center according to the location update request message is currently acquired. An operation of updating the PLMN identifier to registered public land mobile network RPLMN information is performed when the location update acceptance information is acquired and the operation of updating the PLMN identifier to RPLMN information is skipped when the location update acceptance information is not acquired.

Method for updating RPLMN information and user equipment

The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for searching for a network. The method includes: determining that a user equipment (UE) camping on a cell of a current public land mobile network (PLMN) is in an access barred state; determining that the UE cannot be successfully registered with the current PLMN; and performing a PLMN search. In the method and the apparatus for searching for a network according to embodiments of the present invention, if it is determined that the UE normally camping on the cell of the current PLMN is in the access barred state and cannot be successfully registered with the current PLMN, the PLMN search is performed, so that when the UE is in the access barred state, the UE can still perform the PLMN search, and can further select a new PLMN for access and execute a normal service, thereby improving user experience.

A method and system of allocating code resources for a high speed physical downlink shared channel are disclosed. The method includes: recording usage states for all code resources of a system at a base station; allocating, by the base station, code resources with idle state to the HS-PDSCH when the code resources of the HS-PDSCH are not enough. The system includes a radio network controller and a base station; the radio network controller is configured to allocate code resources of a system to corresponding channels, and inform the usage states of the code resources to the base station. When there is a shortage of code resources for HS-PDSCHs, idle code resources in a same code tree may be temporarily allocated to the HS-PDSCHs. Thus, the shortage of code resources is moderated to some extent, and the efficiency of code resources in the overall system is raised.
