Techniques for determining trajectories for a plurality of wells while avoiding collision between wells are presented. The techniques can include determining a zone of uncertainty for individual wells of the plurality of wells, determining a minimum separation factor for individual wells of the plurality of wells, determining a gradient of a separation factor for at least one pair of wells of the plurality of pairs of wells, updating a nudge position for at least one well, and providing nudge positions for the individual wells of the plurality of wells.

Anti-collision well trajectory design

A method can include receiving input for a multiwell pad; selecting, based at least in part on a portion of the input, a template for the multiwell pad; generating, based at least in part on the template, well trajectories for the multiwell pad, where each of the well trajectories extends from a surface location of the multiwell pad to one or more reservoir target locations and where each of the well trajectories includes at least one curve generated using one or more dogleg severity values and one or more geometric control points that are not required to lie on one or more of the well trajectories; and outputting specifications for the generated trajectories of the multiwell pad.

Multiwell pad drilling framework

Disclosed are methods and apparatus obtaining in-situ, real-time data associated with a sample stream obtained by a downhole sampling apparatus disposed in a borehole that extends into a subterranean formation. The obtained data includes multiple fluid properties of the sample stream. The sample stream includes native formation fluid from the subterranean formation and filtrate contamination resulting from formation of the borehole in the subterranean formation. The obtained data is filtered to remove outliers. The filtered data is fit to each of a plurality of models each characterizing a corresponding one of the fluid properties as a function of a pumpout volume or time of the sample stream. Based on the fitted data, a start of a developed flow regime of the native formation fluid within the subterranean formation surrounding the borehole is identified.

Data extraction for OBM contamination monitoring

A representative image system is described herein that provides a representative image for any given search query. Upon receiving a search for a term (or terms), the system accesses an inverted index to identify images associated with that term. The system then receives a ranked list of images. The ranked list includes image identifiers, and once an item in the list is selected the system can use the associated image identifier to retrieve the image from a thumbnail or other server. If an editor has overridden the default image for the present search query, then the system returns the image identifier for the overridden image, which can be used to access the image from the thumbnail or other server. Thus, the representative image system provides a reliable and universal mechanism for retrieving representative images for any given topic dynamically in real time.

Systems and methods for identifying a representative image for any given search query are provided. Accurate search results are provided while still honoring content limitations. Content responsive to search, whose presentation is prevented by content limitations is presented in an obscured manner, notifying the user of the existence of the content, while not enabling discerning of details, thereby honoring the content limitations. Attempted user interaction with obscured content acts as an entry point to changing the content limitations, including presenting user notifications of the content limitations and presenting an option to change the content limitations to allow for the unobscured presentation of the obscured content. Graphical content can be obscured by applying graphical modifications to generate new, obscured content that provides only a vague resemblance to the original, including jittering pixels, or other subcomponents, the applying of Gaussian blurs, and pixelization.
