A fabric coating composition can include water, from 3 wt % to 95 wt % oxazoline reactive compound by dry weight including an oxazoline group, and from 3 wt % to 70 wt % cationic charging agent by dry weight. The fabric coating composition can have a pH from pH 2 to pH 6.

Fabric coating compositions

A printable recording media that comprises a base substrate with an image-side and a back-side and a coating composition comprising, at least, particles of metallic salt of C-Calkyl acid chain or alkyl ester chain having a mean particle size (D) above 3 μm and having about 99.5% of the particle size distribution which is less than 80 μm, inorganic pigment particles and/or mixture inorganic particles, and polymeric binders and/or mixture of polymeric binders, is applied to the image-side of the base substrate. Also described herein are a method for forming the printable recording media and a printing method that includes ejecting an ink composition onto the print media described herein.

Printable recording media

A printable medium with a non-woven base composite supporting substrate; at least two coating layers, on the image side of the composite supporting substrate, that include an ink fixing layer, directly applied upon the supporting substrate, comprising a salt; and an image receiving layer, applied over the ink fixing layer, including pigment fillers and polymeric binders; and a barrier layer, containing a flame-retardant agent, applied on the backside of the composite supporting substrate. Also disclosed are the method for producing printed images using said media and the resulting printed material.

Printable medium

A coating composition comprising water and polyurethane particles including cationic triphenyl-phosphonium salt functional groups. Also disclosed is a coated printable medium, with an image-side and a back-side, comprising a base substrate and the coating composition, such as described herein, that is applied over, at least, one side of the base substrate, forming an image-receiving layer. Also disclosed is the method for making such printable medium.

Coating composition and printable medium

A coating composition for a base paper is described. The coating composition comprises a porous clay and an ink pigment fixation agent. The porous clay comprises an alumina-silicate, and has a surface area from 100 m2/g to 400 m2/g.

Coating composition for printing paper

A pre-treatment composition comprising water, reactive crosslinking agents and polyurethane particles polyurethane particles including sulfonated- or carboxylated-diamine groups, isocyanate-generated amine groups, and polyalkylene oxide side-chains. Also disclosed is a pre-treated printable medium comprising a base substrate and the pre-treatment composition, such as described herein, that is applied over, at least, one side of the base substrate, forming an image-receiving surface. Also disclosed is the method for making such printable medium.

Pre-treatment composition and printable medium

The present disclosure is drawn to embossed print media including a media substrate having a front side and a back side, an embossed image-receiving layer formed on the front side of the media substrate at a coating weight of 3 gsm to 50 gsm, and a fabric liner coupled to the back side of media substrate via an adhesive layer. The embossed image-receiving layer can include a first pigment filler and a first polymeric binder. The adhesive layer can be applied at a coating weight from 20 gsm to 40 gsm and can include a second polymeric binder and a flame-retarding filler.

Embossed print media

The present disclosure is drawn to leveling compositions, embossed print media, and methods of preparing embossed print media. The embossed print media can include a media substrate, an image-receiving layer applied to the media substrate at a coating weight of 3 gsm to 50 gsm, and a leveling composition layer. The image-receiving layer can include a pigment filler having an average particle size ranging from 0.1 &#x3bc;m to 20 &#x3bc;m and a polymeric binder, and in examples herein, is embossed. The leveling composition layer can be applied at a coating weight of 0.2 gsm to 3 gsm to the image-receiving layer, and can include a cationic ionene polymer.

Leveling compositions

The present disclosure is drawn to printable media. A printable medium includes a substrate having a first side and a second side. An ink-receiving layer is positioned on the first side of the substrate. The ink-receiving layer includes a colloidal sol. An ink-penetrable layer is positioned on the ink-receiving layer. The ink-penetrable layer includes a binder and polymer particles having a glass transition temperature from 80&#xb0; C. to 150&#xb0; C. A repositionable adhesive layer is positioned on the second side of the substrate. A release liner is removably positioned on the repositionable adhesive layer. A friction control layer is positioned on the release liner, where the friction control layer includes a slip aid.

Printable media

A print medium can include a cellulose-based paper substrate with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface can be treated with an electrically charged treatment layer. An ink-absorbing layer can be positioned on the electrically charged treatment layer. The ink-absorbing layer can include a polymeric binder and surface-activated fumed silica particles. The surface-activated fumed silica particles can include fumed silica particles that are surface-activated with charged multivalent aluminum salt and organosilane reagent. In further detail, an ink-receiving layer can be positioned on the ink-absorbing layer. The ink-receiving layer can include amorphous silica particles, alumina particles, or a combination thereof.

Print media

A recording media containing a raw base substrate having, on its image side, a primary coating layer and a top image receiving layer is described herein. Said top image receiving layer encompasses a polymeric adhesion promoter having a glass transition temperature that is at, or above, 90&#xb0; C. Also described is a printed article containing said recording media on which a printed feature has been formed with an ink composition that encompasses latex components that have a glass transition temperature that is at, or above, 90&#xb0; C.

Recording media

A fabric printable medium includes a fabric base substrate, which includes yarn strands and voids among the yarn strands. The fabric printable medium further includes a finishing coating attached to the yarn strands of the fabric base substrate to form coated yarn strands. The finishing coating includes a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network. The fabric printable medium has pore spaces among the coated yarn strands that coincide with at least some of the voids of the fabric base substrate.

Fabric printable medium

A fabric printable medium includes a fabric base substrate including yarn strands and voids among the yarn strands; a finishing coating attached to the yarn strands of the fabric base substrate to form coated yarn strands; and pore spaces among the coated yarn strands and coinciding with at least some of the voids of the fabric base substrate. The finishing coating includes a crosslinked polymeric network. The fabric printable medium further includes a fire retardant coating applied to aback-side of the coated yarn strands.

A fabric printable medium comprising a fabric base substrate, with an image-side and a back-side, having a water proofing treatment including a water-repellant agent applied thereto; an adhesion promoting layer, applied to the image-side of the fabric base substrate, comprising a polymeric compound and a physical networking component; an ink-receiving coating layer over the adhesion promoting layer, comprising a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network; and a barrier layer applied to the back-side of the fabric base substrate, comprising polymeric binders and filler particles with flame retardancy properties. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.

Fabric print medium

A fabric print medium can include a woven fabric substrate, a first barrier layer on an imaging side of the woven fabric substrate where the first barrier layer includes first barrier layer binder and first barrier layer flame retardant, a primer layer on the first barrier layer wherein the primer layer includes primer layer binder and primer layer pigment filler, an imaging layer on the primer layer where the imaging layer includes imaging layer film-forming binder and where the first barrier layer, the primer layer, and the imaging layer have a combined thickness from 10 &#x3bc;m to 70 &#x3bc;m, and a non-woven support layer on a back side of the woven fabric substrate.
