A lightweight scalable multi-user optical antenna includes a coarse tracking liquid crystal, an optical filter, a beam shrinking system, a fine tracking liquid crystal and a beam splitter which are arranged in sequence and are located on a same central axis; further includes a data analysis and instruction system, a coarse tracking liquid crystal controller, a fine tracking liquid crystal controller, j single-mode optical fibers, and an imaging system and a dichroic coupling system which are respectively arranged in two emergent light paths of the beam splitter; and can be used to receive and transmit the laser beams of j communication targets. When the number of users increases, only sub regions of the coarse tracking liquid crystal and the fine tracking liquid crystal need to be added, and no additional components need to be added, and the lightweight scalable multi-user optical antenna has strong scalability.

Lightweight scalable multi-user optical antenna and communication method

An optical antenna includes a coarse tracking liquid crystal, a coarse tracking liquid crystal controller, a beam shrinking system, a fine tracking liquid crystal, a fine tracking liquid crystal controller, a beam splitter, a first coupling system, a single-mode optical fiber, a second coupling system, a detector and a data analysis and instruction system. The antenna can be configured to receive a laser beam from a communication target and transmit the laser beam to the communication target. The optical antenna realizes the acquisition, tracking and pointing of the space laser beam by cascade connection of two stages of liquid crystal devices. At the same time, the optical antenna has the advantages of fast beam pointing and short response time by utilizing the deflection of the Bi-stable dual-frequency liquid crystals to realize change of high-precision beam pointing.

Lightweight optical antenna, and method for realizing acquisition, tracking and pointing based on same

The disclosure relates to a multi-modulation-format compatible high-speed laser signal generation system and method. The disclosure can greatly improve modulation format compatibility of a laser communication system and saves system upgrading costs and resource costs. The system mainly includes a control instruction unit, a serial-parallel changeover switch unit, a precoding switch unit, a power control unit, an IQ modulator, a narrow line width laser, and a bias point control unit, wherein the control instruction unit is respectively connected to the serial-parallel changeover switch unit, the precoding switch unit, the power control unit, and the bias point control unit; the serial-parallel changeover switch unit, the precoding switch unit, the power control unit, and the IQ modulator are electrically connected in sequence; the narrow line width laser is connected to an optical input end of the IQ modulator; and the bias point control unit is connected to the IQ modulator.

Multi-modulation-format compatible high-speed laser signal generation system and method

A phase-lock-free system includes a control instruction unit, a low-noise high-gain optical amplifier, an optical switch, a filter, an optical delay interferometer I, an optical delay interferometer Q, a first balanced detector, a second balanced detector, an anti-coding switch unit, a parallel-serial conversion unit, and a data processing unit. The control instruction unit is connected to the optical switch, the anti-coding switch unit, and the parallel-serial conversion unit, respectively; the low-noise high-gain optical amplifier is connected to the optical switch; the optical switch is connected to the first balanced detector and the second balanced detector by means of the filter, the optical delay interferometer I, and the optical delay interferometer Q, respectively. This system improves the compatibility of a communication system at a relay node in an existing laser communication network.

Phase-lock-free system and method for receiving multi-modulation-format compatible high-speed laser signal

The present invention relates to an adaptive and all-optical method for data packet rate multiplication compatible with multiple data rates and/or multiple communication protocols. By performing a real-time pulse width compression on an original electronic or optical packet from an end user or a network interface device, the method generates an optical packet having an identical rate with the original packet while the duration of each pulse being significantly reduced. Then, by eliminating any redundant idle time due to the pulse width compression, the method also shortens data period and thus makes the rate of packet multiplied. The present invention addresses the technical problem of limited data rate in EO/OE conversion as known in the prior art and solves fundamentally the interconnection and communication between networks or systems of different data rates and/or protocols. The method of the present invention thus enables the design of an ultrahigh rate all-optical communication system and network transparent in rate and protocol.
