A multiphase converter has a plurality of phase circuits and a plurality of phase control circuits. Each phase circuit has a switch having a control terminal, and the control terminal of the switch may be configured to receive a drive signal. Each phase control circuit may be corresponding to one of the phase circuits, and each phase control circuit may be configured to provide a phase control signal to adjust an ON-time period or a reference signal for the corresponding phase circuit. The phase control signal may be responsive to the drive signal of the corresponding phase circuit.

A constant on-time converter has an input terminal, an output terminal, a feedback circuit, an operating circuit, a comparison circuit, a timer, a driving circuit and a switching circuit. The operating circuit is coupled to a compensation signal adjusted by a digital controller, and the compensation signal rises up to a predetermined amplitude when a feedback signal is less than a reference signal.

Constant on-time converter with stabilizing operation and method thereof

The embodiments of the present invention illustrate a means for digitally controlling a converter system and associated method. Wherein the means for digitally controlling a converter system comprises a means for generating a digital error signal according to an output voltage of the converter system and a reference voltage, a means for generating a digital control signal according to a digital reference signal and the digital error signal, and a means for generating a PWM signal according to the digital control signal in order to control the converter system. The means for digitally controlling a converter system and associated method at least alleviate the problem of limit-cycle oscillation, and promote the performance of system transient response and accuracy.
