Interference cancellation in dynamic spectrum sharing

Provided herein are a method and an apparatus for blind detection of Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) using UE-specific reference signals. In an embodiment, the disclosure provides an apparatus for a UE, comprising circuitry configured to: measure a UE-specific Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) associated with a PDCCH; compute a first measurement metric Mbased on the UE-specific DMRS associated with the PDCCH before decoding the PDCCH; decode the PDCCH based on the first measurement metric M; and decode PDSCH based on the decoded PDCCH. The disclosure may further, based on the corresponding PDCCH DMRS and/or PDSCH DMRS, determine if a PDSCH grant in a decoded PDCCH is valid or not, detect a repeated PDSCH grant in a slot, and detect cross-slot DMRS phase continuity between continuous slots.

Method and apparatus for blind detection of PDCCH and PDSCH using UE-specific reference signals

An apparatus for a transceiver of a mobile communication system includes an interface configured to obtain receive signal information. The apparatus further includes a control module configured to determine a first cell identifying information of the mobile communication system based on the receive signal information, and configured to estimate an interfering signal information transmitted by a second cell of the mobile communication system based on the receive signal information. The interfering signal comprises control or payload data information of a second transceiver. The control module is further configured to detect a synchronization signal information transmitted for the cell based on the receive signal information and the interfering signal information. The control module is further configured to identify the first cell identifying information based on the synchronization signal information.

A method includes receiving a composite signal (R(k)) comprising transmissions from a plurality of cells, and identifying a plurality of candidate cells (N) based on a first detection metric (&#x39b;) with respect to the composite signal (R(k)). The method also includes filtering the plurality of candidate cells (N) with respect to cell identifiers (m) of the plurality of candidate cells to obtain a plurality of filtered candidate cells (N'), and selecting from the plurality of filtered candidate cells (N&#x2032;) a plurality of selected cells according to a selection criterion.

Techniques for filtering candidate cells

Some aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method for accurately detecting and measuring signals received from multiple cells surrounding a user equipment (UE) during a cell search. The method is performed by receiving a composite signal comprising an aggregate of transmissions (e.g., synchronization signals) from a plurality of base stations at a UE. A correlation-based metric describing a cell is generated by performing a cross-correlation of a transmission (e.g., synchronization signal, reference signal, etc.) from the cell with the received composite signal. The correlation-based metric of weaker cells may be modified to generate an equivalent ideal metric, also proportional to the search criteria, in which the impact of interfering signals is suppressed. By suppressing the impact of the interfering signals, the equivalent ideal metric can be used to identify a weaker target signal in light of the eclipsing, stronger signals.
