A method for radiographic imaging of a patient directs imaging radiation to an anatomy of the patient using a radiographic imaging apparatus. A first image of the patient anatomy is captured in a digital detector, and one or more image acquisition factors are electronically stored. A second radiographic image of the same patient anatomy is captured by accessing and using the stored one or more image acquisition factors. A combination of the first and second radiographic images is displayed or transmitted.

Physiological analysis from video x-ray imaging

A radiography system having multiple digital radiographic detectors captures an image in each of the detectors when the x-ray source is fired. The detectors evaluate the captured images and a controller prioritizes the captured images according to the evaluations to determine which captured images are forwarded and in what order. At least one of the DR detectors captures a suitable diagnostic x-ray image.

Image acquisition with multiple detectors

A radiographic imaging system may be deployed in an ICU unit of a medical facility that may benefit from isolating patients and health care providers. The radiography system provides a plurality of patient beds each having a digital radiographic detector positioned therein. An x-ray source is operable to be selectively positioned relative to each of the patient beds using a remote control system. The remote control system also controls firing of the x-ray source.

A method for fluoroscopy energizes a radiation source to form a scout image on a detector and processes the scout image to determine and report a radiation field position with respect to a predetermined zone of the detector. A digital radiographic image of a subject is captured using a reduced exposure level of an x-ray source. One or more exposure control regions in the image is mapped and associated with a predetermined exposure level. A difference between the predetermined exposure level setting and the reduced exposure level is used to set a diagnostic exposure level perhaps about twice as high as the reduced exposure level to capture a diagnostic image of the subject.

Automatic radiography exposure control using rapid probe exposure and learned scene analysis

A mobile radiography apparatus is configured to sparsely sample radiographic projection images to generate high resolution tomosynthesis volume images using a digital radiographic detector that is mechanically uncoupled from the x-ray source and an artificial intelligence network. The artificial intelligence network is trained to correct a volume image generated from sparsely sample projection images to generate the high resolution tomosynthesis volume images.

A method of operating a mobile fluoroscopic imaging system includes positioning an x-ray source and a DR detector about a patient. Data defining a spatial configuration of the x-ray source and the collimator is stored in the system. The system is configured to determine a source-to-image distance of the x-ray source and the DR detector including by activating the x-ray source and capturing a scout image in the DR detector. Dimensions of the scout image are calculated and the source-to-image distance is determined based on the data defining the spatial configuration of the x-ray source and the collimator and on the dimensions of the scout image.

An imaging system includes an x-ray assembly having one or more x-ray sources configured to be energized at multiple positions. A control program energizes the one or more x-ray sources in a programmed sequence and controls the timing of the sequence.

Hybrid imaging apparatus and methods for interactive procedures

Synchronizing operation between a digital radiographic detector's integration periods and an x-ray generator's x-ray pulse rate by transmitting a frame rate to the detector and the generator. In a first mode, the detector monitors one or more pixels to detect an x-ray pulse. The firing time of the detected x-ray pulse relative to an internal clock of the detector is used to synchronize the detector's integration periods with the pulse rate of the x-ray generator based on the transmitted frame rate and the detected firing time of the x-ray pulses. Successive pulses may also be used to determine a frame rate without prior transmission thereof.

Synchronization for dynamic imaging

A mobile CBCT imaging system is constructed on a mobile base. A scanning ring having an x-ray source and one or more curved detectors is connected to the mobile base. The scanning ring is configured to be spatially positioned as desired by an operator. The source is configured to revolve about an imaging axis and to emit radiographic energy toward the imaging axis, and the one or more detectors has an array of photosensors disposed along a curved surface facing the imaging axis.

A computer implemented method for reconstructing a 3-D volume image using a radiographic imaging system having one or more x-ray sources and a digital detector. A plurality of radiographic images of a subject at various angles are captured in the digital detector. Image data in two or more pixels of the detector that are adjacent to each other in a row direction or a column direction are combined, while pixels adjacent in the other direction are not combined.
