An authentication method used in a server, includes: acquiring check-in information sent by user equipment (UE) of a user, wherein the check-in information includes information on the user and a check-in period; determining information on a room of the user based on the check-in information; sending the information on the room to the UE; determining unlocking information based on the check-in information; and sending the unlocking information to at least one of the UE or door lock equipment corresponding to the information on the room, wherein the door lock equipment is configured to authenticate the user based on the unlocking information during the check-in period, the unlocking information being invalid other than during the check-in period.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may determine a mapping configuration for antenna ports that includes mapping antenna ports with high spatial correlation to frequency resource and mapping antenna ports with low spatial correlation to time resources. The base station may apply a common coding mechanism to channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) having a timing domain and transmit the CSI-RSs using antenna ports with high frequency separation. A user equipment (UE) may receive the CSI-RS on the channel and identify a joint correlation metric based on a frequency correlation and a spatial correlation between CSI-RS and the channel. The UE may determine a channel estimate for the channel based on the joint correlation metric.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for flexible resource mapping and modulation and coding scheme (MCS) determination in wireless communication systems. According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications that may be performed by a transmitter is provided. The method generally includes determining MCSs to use for each of multiple portions of a transport block and transmitting the portions of the transport block according to the determined MCSs to a wireless node. Flexible MCS and resource mapping determination may improve demodulation performance for code blocks that are far from pilots.
