Implementations relate to prioritized display of visual content in computer presentations. In some implementations, a computer-executed method includes obtaining first visual content and second visual content associated with the first visual content, where the first and second visual content include a plurality of pixels. The method provides a display of a computer presentation by a display device, where the first visual content is displayed in a presentation area of the computer presentation. The method determines that a first presentation priority of at least a portion of the first visual content is reduced based on a determination that less than a threshold amount of the at least a portion of the first visual content has changed. In response to determining that the first presentation priority is reduced, the method improves a visibility of a display of the second visual content in the computer presentation.

Prioritized display of visual content in computer presentations

A method includes allocating a first memory location in a non-transitory data store in communication with a computing device and writing data to the first memory location when a first write transaction executes on the non-transitory data store. The method further includes executing one or more read transactions on the first memory location after completion of the first write transaction and incrementing a first pointer counter upon completion of the first write transaction and for each read transaction executing on the first memory location. The method allocates a second memory location in the non-transitory data store and writes updated data to the second memory location when a second write transaction executes on the non-transitory data store to update the data. The first pointer counter decrements and the second pointer counter increments upon completion of the second write transaction. The first memory location de-allocates when the first pointer counter is zero.

Concurrent in-memory data publication and storage system

A videoconferencing system in which multiple browsers are utilized to present content and control functions for a server based videoconference. The content of the videoconference (e.g., video and audio streams) is presented on a display device driven by a local computer running a browser. The local computer also runs a separate browser that presents control functions on a different display device (e.g., a touch screen). The system can be scaled to include additional monitors and browsers running on the local computer. A local server is provided on the local computer for facilitating communications among the locally running browsers. In this manner, the browsers can communicate with each other via the local server executing on the local computer. The need to send traffic to a remote server to effectuate the browser-to-browser communication is eliminated. This provides for reduced latency and lowers the demands on the remote server.
