This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced feedback for secure mode wireless communications. A device may send a first null data packet (NDP) to a second device, and identify a second NDP received from the second device. The device may identify a location measurement report (LMR) received from the second device, the LMR including a first channel response indicative of a first arrival time of the first NDP at the second device and a first phase shift associated with the first NDP. The device may generate a second channel response indicative of a second arrival time of the second NDP at the device and a second phase shift associated with the second NDP. The device may determine that the first channel response does not match the second channel response, and may identify an attempted attack.

Enhanced feedback for secure mode wireless communications

Logic to generate, by an access point (AP) station (STA), a medium access control (MAC) resource assessment trigger frame to transmit during a first transmission opportunity (TxOP), the MAC resource assessment trigger frame to allocate a portion of the first TxOP to a first STA and to request a first resource assessment from a first group of STAs for evaluation by the first STA, the first resource assessment to assess peer-to-peer (P2P) data transfers between the first group of STAs and the first STA. Logic to cause transmission of the MAC resource assessment trigger frame to the first STA and the first group of STAs. And logic to receive one or more short term resource assessment frames from the first group of STAs, the one or more short term resource assessment frames each comprising an indication of resources for a data transfer.

Methods and arrangements for resource assessment

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to over-puncture mitigation. A device may generate a frame comprising a payload having a payload size associated with a number of bits. The device may determine a low-density parity-check (LDPC) codeword size based on the payload size. The device may calculate a number of codewords based on the payload size. The device may calculate a number of shortening bits and a number of LDPC padding bits based on the number of codewords. The device may calculate a number of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols for containing the number of codewords. The device may cause to send the frame with the number of OFDM symbols to a station device.

Over-puncture mitigation in LDCP rate matching

The application relates to puncture indication used in wireless local area networks (WLANs), and in particular provides a method, including: generating a trigger frame including puncture information for a Physical Layer (PHY) Protocol Data Unit (PPDU); and transmitting the trigger frame to a User Equipment (UE) to trigger the UE to transmit the PPDU.

Method and apparatus used in WLANs

An access point (AP) is configured for trigger-based peer-to-peer (TB P2P) operation with at least two peer stations (P2P1) and (P2P2) in which the AP (API) is operating as a coordinator. The AP may be configured to encode a trigger frame (AP TF) for transmission to reserve channel resources for two or more P2P transfers and identify times for each of the P2P transfers and may indicate an allocation of channel resources to a first of the peer stations (P2P1) for a first of the P2P transfers and to a second of the peer stations (P2P2) for a second of the P2P transfers. During the allocation for the first P2P transfer, the AP may decode a null data packet (NDP) frame for channel sounding received from the first peer station (P2P1). The AP may also encode a TB physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) in accordance with a multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiple access (MU OFDMA) frame format a transmission to the first peer station (P2P1) in accordance with an uplink multi-user multiple-input multiple output (UL MU MIMO) technique.

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to extremely high throughput (EHT) resource unit (RU) allocation. A device may utilize a tone plan to generate an EHT frame to be sent using an 80 MHz frequency band, wherein the tone plan comprises a plurality of null tones. The device may encode one or more resource units (RUs) for the EHT frame, wherein the one or more RUs comprise at least one of a 26-tone RU, a 52-tone RU, a 106-tone RU, a 242-tone RU, a 484-tone RU, or a 996-tone RU, wherein the 106-tone RU, the 242-tone RU, and the 484-tone RU comprise null tones located at least at subcarriers ±258, ±257, ±256, ±255, and ±254. The device may cause to send the EHT frame to a first station device using the 80 MHz frequency band.

Extreme high throughput resource unit allocation table

This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to non-contiguous channel bonding. A device may determine a wireless communication channel having one or more subchannels in accordance with one or more communication standards. The device may determine instructions to perform one or more clear channel assessments (CCAs) on at least one of the one or more subchannels. The device may cause to send the instructions to one or more first devices. The device may identify a frame received from at least one of the one or more first devices, wherein the frame is received on at least one available subchannel of the one or more subchannels.

Non-contiguous channel bonding

Various embodiments are generally directed to improved channel quality information feedback techniques. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus for a base station is provided that includes a radio interface and a processor coupled to the radio interface. The processor is configured to receive a channel quality indicator (CQI) index, wherein the CQI index is based on a channel state information (CSI) reference resource, further wherein a first three orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of the CSI reference resource are occupied by control signals, select a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the CQI index, and cause transmission of the PDSCH based on the selected MCS via the radio interface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Channel quality information feedback techniques

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to allocating non-continuous resource units (RUs). A device may determine a non-continuous RU allocation for one or more devices in a 80 MHz bandwidth including four 20 MHz channels, the non-continuous RU allocation including disabled tones of a 20 MHz channel of the four 20 MHz channels, and the disabled tones being a subset of tones within the 20 MHz channel. The device may determine a high efficiency wireless frame comprising an indication of the non-continuous RU allocation. The device may send the high efficiency wireless frame to one or more multiple devices.

Enhanced resource allocation for wireless communications

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to a trigger-based null data packet (NDP) for channel sounding system. A device may send a trigger frame to a group of station devices, the group of station devices including a first station device, the trigger frame indicating a high efficiency (HE) long training field (HE-LTF) mode and a guard interval duration. The device may identify a HE trigger-based (TB) null data packet (NDP) received from the first station device, the HE TB NDP including a first packet extension field, wherein the HE TB NDP is associated with the HE-LTF mode and the guard interval duration indicated in the trigger frame. The device may send a downlink NDP including a second packet extension field, a second HE-LTF mode, and a second guard interval duration. The device may determine channel state information based on HE TB NDP received from the first station device.

Enhanced trigger-based null data packet for channel sounding

This disclosure describes mechanisms for performing rate matching in low-density parity check (LPDC) codes in a wireless network. A device may generate an Aggregated Media Access (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (AMPDU) payload having an AMPDU payload size associated with a number of bits. The device may omit pre-Forward Error Correction (FEC) padding of the AMPDU payload at a MAC layer by indicating the AMPDU payload size in a physical layer (PHY)-specific preamble. The device may then generate the PHY-specific preamble comprising the AMPDU payload size without the pre-FEC padding. The device may also calculate a number of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols for containing the number of bits and transmit the PHY-specific preamble and the number of OFDM symbols to a station device.

Mechanisms for performing rate matching in low-density parity check (LPDC) codes in a wireless network

The application relates to an apparatus and method used in Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs). The apparatus includes: a wireless interface; and processor circuitry coupled to the wireless interface and configured to: generate a Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) with a Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) coding scheme; and provide the PPDU to the wireless interface for transmitting, wherein the PPDU comprises one special codeword and more than one regular codeword and does not comprise a padding bit before Forward Error Correction (FEC) codes, and the regular codeword has a fixed codeword size, which can be different from a codeword size of the special codeword.

Apparatus used in WLANs

The disclosure provides techniques for a configuration of frequency domain aggregated (FA) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) for trigger based (TB) PPDUs. An apparatus for an access point (AP) includes a radio frequency (RF) interface; and processing circuitry coupled with the RF interface. The processing circuitry is configured to: encode a trigger frame to be transmitted via the RF interface to stations (STAs) communicatively connected with the AP, wherein the trigger frame includes signaling to indicate a configuration of frequency domain aggregated (FA) physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) for at least two STAs; and decode an FA PPDU aggregated by composite trigger based (TB) PPDUs from the at least two STAs.
