The present invention provides a formable hard coating composition, comprising a binder, comprising at least one acrylate oligomer and at least one monofunctional acrylate monomer and a crosslinking agent, comprising at least one multifunctional acrylate or methacrylate monomer. Furthermore, the present invention provides a coated film comprising a coextruded PC/PMMA film and a coating obtained by coating with the hard coating composition, wherein the coating has a dry film thickness according to ASTM B499 in the range of from &#x2265;1 to &#x2264;6 &#x3bc;m and preferably a crosslink density in the range of from &#x2265;2&#xb7;10to &#x2264;13&#xb7;10. The coated films exhibit a combination of good formability and pencil hardness, solvent and chemical resistance which makes it particular useful for applications such as in-mold decoration processes.

Formable hard coated PC/PMMA coextruded films

The invention relates to an antistatic coating composition comprising a hydrolyzate resulting from the at least partial hydrolysis of: a component A consisting of one or more compounds containing at least one polyalkylene oxide segment and at least one &#x2014;Si(X)hydrolyzable group, in which n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3 and the X groups are precursors of OH groups; at least one inorganic metal salt; and optionally, at least one component B, consisting of one or more compounds of formula R,Si(Z)or formula RYSi(Z), in which the R groups are monovalent alkyl groups, the Z and Z1 groups are hydrolyzable groups or hydrogen atoms, the Rgroups are monovalent organic groups linked to the silicon atom through a carbon atom, the Y groups are monovalent organic groups linked to the silicon atom and containing at least one epoxy function, n' is an integer equal to O, 1 or 2, m1 and n1 are integers such that m1 is equal to 1 or 2 and n1+m1=1 or 2, component A and optional component B being chosen such that a cross-linked structure is generated upon polymerization of said composition, the dry extract of said composition containing less than 5% by weight of free polyalkylene oxide polymers.
