A tactile near-sensor analogue computing system and an artificial skin system are provided. The tactile near-sensor analogue computing system includes a tactile sensor array and a memristive computing array. The tactile sensor array is configured to capture data and includes a plurality of tactile sensing devices. The memristive computing array is configured to process the data and includes a plurality of memristive devices, each of the plurality of tactile sensing devices connected to one of the plurality of memristive devices.

Systems for near-sensor analogue computing for ultrafast responsive tactile sensing

Disclosed herein is an electrode material comprising: a non-woven silk-fibroin mesh substrate; glycerol; and a conductive polymeric material, wherein 40-65% of the silk-fibroin in the non-woven mesh substrate is in the form of β-sheets, and the electrode material is stretchable. Also disclosed herein is a method of forming said electrode material.

Conducting silk-based electrodes

A sensor comprising a support and a flexible structure arranged on the support is provided. The flexible structure comprises a frustum-shaped portion having a wider end and a narrower end, wherein the wider end of the frustum-shaped portion is arranged proximal to the support, and an elongated portion extending from the narrower end of the frustum-shaped portion, wherein the flexible structure further comprises a stretchable conducting film arranged on the frustum-shaped portion. A method of preparing such a sensor is also provided.

3D-structured sensors having stretchable multi-functional tactile electronic hairs

Various embodiments may provide a pressure sensing electronic device. The electronic device may include a tactile sensor configured to determine an external pressure. The electronic device may also include a memory device electrically coupled to the tactile sensor. The memory device may be configured to switch from a first state to a second state upon the external pressure determined by the tactile sensor exceeding a predetermined threshold when a writing current flows through the tactile sensor and the memory device.

Pressure sensing electronic device, methods of forming and operating the same

Coated colloidal materials, methods for making coated colloidal materials, and methods of using coated colloidal materials are disclosed. The method yields coated colloidal materials where the optical characteristics of the core is not adversely affected. The coated colloidal materials can be self-assembled into films, layers, or structures and used in the detection of analytes through detection assays.
