A floor control apparatus and method, the method including receiving, by a media resource function entity, a first floor application message sent by UE, generating, by the media resource function entity, a second floor application message according to the first floor application message, sending, by the media resource function entity, the second floor application message to a mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) server, receiving, by the media resource function entity, a first floor grant message that is in response to the second floor application message and that is sent by the MCPTT server, generating, by the media resource function entity, a second floor grant message according to the first floor grant message, and sending, by the media resource function entity, the second floor grant message to the UE.

Floor control method and apparatus

A floor control method and apparatus are disclosed. In an embodiment a floor control method includes receiving, by a server over Long Term Evolution network, a first message sent by user equipment (UE), wherein the first message comprises a parameter indicating that an event type is a floor request, generating, by the server, a second message according to a floor control policy and the first message, wherein the second message comprises a parameter indicating that an event type is floor granted and sending, by the server, the second message to the UE, wherein the second message is used to instruct the UE to notify a user of the UE that a floor is granted.

An embodiment floor control method includes receiving, by a mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) server over an Long Term Evolution network, a first message sent by a user equipment (UE), where the first message includes an identifier of a group to which a talker corresponding to the UE belongs and a parameter indicating that an event type is a floor request, generating, by the MCPTT server, a second message according to the floor control policy and the first message, and sending the second message to the UE. The method includes receiving a response message of the second message sent by the UE, generating a first instruction message according to the response message of the second message, where the first instruction message is used to instruct a media resource function entity to perform uplink voice switching on a media plane, and sending the first instruction message to the media resource function entity.
