A chassis in a device housing includes a housing of the housing, a hard disk drive, and a fastening apparatus. The housing includes a backplane and a side plate defining an opening. The hard disk drive defining an opening is electrically coupled to the backplane. The fastening apparatus includes a connecting member and a fastening member. The connecting member includes a connecting post. The connecting post defines a mounting hole. Two locking protrusions protrude from the connecting post. A raised portion protrudes from an inside wall of the mounting hole. The fastening member includes an urging portion. The fastening apparatus is coupled between the hard disk drive and the side plate. The fastening member is mounted in the mounting hole, and the raised portion is urged by the urging portions. The connecting post undergoes elastic deformation, and the locking protrusions are locked in the openings.

Chassis with fastening apparatus

An electronic device includes a housing defining a number of vents. A suction member is mounted in the housing and includes a hollow air guiding tube defining a plurality of air holes for a plurality of air shields to selectively shield or unshield each air hole. Two fans are disposed at opposite ends of the air guiding tube and aligned with the plurality of vents of a side plate. A number of electronic components which require cooling are mounted and located at each side of the suction member and the air shields can be removed or left in place as required to collect heat which is generated.

A removable fan module for an electronic apparatus includes a fan connectable to an external power source through a first connector and a chassis removably insertable into the electronic apparatus. The chassis includes a main plate, a first side plate, a second side plate, a first end plate, a second end plate, and a resilient plate extending from the first end of the main plate. A first and second protuberance extends outward from each side edge of the main plate. A first and second tab extends outward from an outer surface of each side plate adjacent the main plate. A latch protrudes from the distal end of the resilient plate. The chassis is attachable to the electronic apparatus by pressing the distal end of the resilient plate toward an opening in the electronic apparatus housing with the housing opening including two defined spaces extending outward from each opening edge.

Electronic apparatus

A server cabinet includes a bottom wall, a top wall, two opposite side walls, two air inlet tubes each with a number of openings, a number of servers, a number of air distributing tubes received in the servers, a number of rotating members rotatably installed to the air inlet tubes, and a number of resilient members installed to the air inlet tubes. Each server defines a number of vents aligning with the corresponding openings of the air inlet tubes. Each air distributing tube communicates with the vents of the corresponding server. The air inlet tubes are attached to the side walls. Each air distributing tube defines a number of air outlets communicating with the corresponding server. Each rotating member includes a shielding plate. Each resilient member abuts against the corresponding shielding plate to cover the corresponding opening of the air inlet tubes.

Server cabinet

A mounting apparatus for a data storage device defining mounting holes in opposite first side and second side, the mounting apparatus includes a mounting plate, a first mounting member mounted to the mounting plate, a second mounting member mounted to the mounting plate, a pivoting member pivotably connected to a first side of the data storage device, and a locking member pivotably connected to the pivoting member. The first mounting member includes a supporting piece and two tips. The second mounting member includes a locking piece and a block formed at an end of the locking piece. The locking member includes a locking portion. The tips engage in the mounting holes of a second side of the data storage device. The pivoting member is rotated to be located between the second mounting member and the data storage device, and the locking member is rotated to engage under the block.

Mounting apparatus of data storage device

A server cabinet includes a bottom side, a top side, a first side wall, a second side wall opposite to the first side wall, a first air inlet tube with a number of air outlets, a second air inlet tube with a number of air outlets, and a number of pairs of adjusting apparatuses. The first air inlet tube is attached to the first side wall and extends from the bottom side to the top side, the second air inlet tube is attached to the second side wall and extends from the bottom side to the top side and the top side and the bottom side are each configured with an opening to receive the first air inlet tube and the second air inlet tube. Each air adjusting apparatus comprises a slidable shielding plate substantially covering the corresponding air outlets.

A mounting apparatus includes a bracket receiving a hard disk drive (HDD), a transmission mechanism mounted on a side of the bracket, and an operation member. The transmission mechanism includes an installing frame, a first rack, and a second rack. The gear is engaged with the first and second racks. A first end of the operation member is detachably latched to the bracket, while a second end of the operation member is movably connected to the bracket. An abutting piece protrudes out from a rear end of the second rack and abuts against a rear end of the hard disk drive. The operation member is slid rearward, to push the first rack to slide rearward. The first rack drives the gear to rotate, the gear drives the second rack to slide forward, and the abutting piece abuts against the HDD to move the HDD out of the bracket.

Mounting apparatus for hard disk drive and electronic device with the mounting apparatus

A rack-mount server assembly includes a rack and a server module received in an upper portion of the rack. The server module includes two opposite sliding rails installed in the rack, and a hard disk drive unit detachably attached between the sliding rails. The hard disk drive unit includes a frame defining an opening and a number of hard disk drives installed in the frame through the opening. The opening of the hard disk drive unit faces a bottom of the rack.

Rack-mount server assembly

A server cabinet includes a housing and a power distribution unit (PDU). The housing includes a bottom plate defining two first holes, and a top plate defining two second holes. The PDU includes a main body, a top base, a motion member, a resilient member, and a handle. Two first pins protrude down from the main body to be inserted into the first holes. The top base is fastened to the main body. A top of the top base defines two through holes. The motion member is movably received in the top base, and forms two second pins. The resilient member is connected between the main body and the motion member, to bias the motion member to move up, thereby allowing the second pins to extend out of the corresponding through holes and be inserted into the second holes. The handle is attached to the motion member.

Power distribution unit and server cabinet with the power distribution unit

A mounting apparatus having two latching members for fixing an expansion card to an expansion slot mounted on a motherboard. Two latching members are mounted to two ends of the expansion slot, for fixing the expansion card. Two latching members are pivotably sandwiched between the ends of the expansion slot and the motherboard, respectively. A latching block protrudes from each of the latching members, for abutting against a bottom of the corresponding locking member.

Mounting apparatus for expansion card

A mounting apparatus for latching two expansion cards to two expansion slots includes four fixing portions extending up from opposite ends of the expansion slots, four locking members rotatably mounted to the fixing portions for clamping two opposite ends of the expansion cards, and two latching members. Each latching member includes a connecting plate, two latching portions extending up from the connecting plate to latch tops of the corresponding expansion cards, and two resilient hooks extending down from the connecting plate to latch the locking members at the same end of the expansion slots.

A fixing apparatus includes a board presenting a number of engaging portions and a post, and a casing for containing a data storage device. The casing includes a bottom wall defining a number of engaging holes, an end wall perpendicularly connected to the bottom wall, and a fixing member pivotably mounted to the end wall. Each engaging hole may engage and lock an engaging portion. The fixing member forms a sliding portion having a slanted outer surface, and a protrusion connected to the sliding portion and is pivoted to move the casing away from the post, until the second holes engage with the corresponding engaging portions, and the protrusion resists against the post.

Fixing apparatus for storage device

A mounting apparatus for fixing an expansion card includes a motherboard, an expansion slot installed on the motherboard, an expansion card inserted into the expansion slot, and two latching members respectively fixed to two ends of the expansion card. Each latching member includes a base plate fixed to the end of the expansion card, and a resilient hook extending from the base plate to latch an end of the expansion slot.

A server assembly includes a chassis and a server module slidably received in the chassis. The chassis includes a backplane with a connector. The server module includes a mounting plate and a connecting plate movably attached to the mounting plate. A plurality of supporting posts protrude on the mounting plate. The connecting plate defines a plurality of elongated through slots according to the supporting posts. A flexible member is locked in each through slot. A plurality of fasteners extend through the flexible members to screw into the supporting posts, respectively. A resilient resisting member is arranged on the mounting plate, to abut against a front end of the connecting plate to insert a rear end of the connecting plate in the connector.

A mounting apparatus fixing an expansion card includes an expansion slot, two locking members connected to opposite ends of the expansion slot, for clamping the expansion card, and two latching members pivotably mounted to opposite ends of the expansion card, respectively. A latching portion protrudes from each of the latching members, for latching the corresponding locking member.
