Computer-implemented methods, systems and computer program products for job scheduling in a computing system are provided. The computing resources of the computing system is allocated to one or more users of the computing system using a predefined policy. The method comprises receiving, by a job scheduler associated with the computing system one or more resource utilization scores of the one or more users, each of the one or more resource utilization scores indicating resource utilization efficiency over time at a job level for the one or more users. The method comprises receiving, by the job scheduler, one or more jobs submitted by the one or more users. The method further comprises scheduling, by the job scheduler, the received one or more jobs based on the predefined policy and further on the received one or more resource utilization scores of the one or more users.

Resource utilization efficiency based job scheduling

Provided are methods, systems, computer program products for scheduling jobs. The method may include receiving a request for allocating resources for a first job, a job comprising information regarding maximum amount of resources required by the job; determining a type of the first job; obtaining at least one backfill of the first job based on the determined type; allocating the maximum amount of resources from system resources to the first job; searching a second job in waiting jobs to be allocated resources, the second job being suitable to be allocated used resources by the first job from the maximum amount of resources allocated to the first job during the at least one backfill; allocating the resources unused by the first job from the maximum amount of resources allocated to the first job to the second job in response to the first job running to the at least one backfill.

Scheduling jobs

An automatic patient transfer system includes a transporting cart, a supporting frame mounted on the transporting cart in vertically movable manner to adjust a height of the supporting frame, and an endless conveyer platform. The supporting frame includes two spaced apart transverse arms and a supporting bed, having a two-side-accessing ability, slidably mounted between the two transverse arms in a horizontal movable manner, such that the supporting bed is selectively and sidewardly slid with respect to the transporting cart to allow the supporting bed selectively sliding at two opposing sideward directions. The endless conveyer platform is slidably mounted at the supporting bed in loop manner, wherein the conveyer platform is adapted for supporting the patient thereon to selectively load and unload the patient on the supporting bed when the conveyer platform is endlessly rotated at clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.
