The control device for the hybrid vehicle including: an engine; a first motor generator which generates electric power by power of the engine; a battery; and a second motor generator connected to driving wheels and driven by supplying electric power from at least one of the battery and the first motor generator. In the control device, a braking control, which drives the first motor generator as an electric motor by regenerative power obtained by operating the second motor generator as a generator at the time of braking of the hybrid vehicle, and in which the engine is utilized as a load of the first motor generator, is executed when a variable representing a charging state of the battery by a level of a value is equal to or greater than a predetermined value and use of a mechanical brake of the hybrid vehicle is restricted.

Control device for hybrid vehicle

To provide a vehicle in which an increase or fluctuations in engine vibration or noise during external electric power supply can be suppressed. A vehicle includes an electric power generation device, a battery connected to the electric power generation device via a power line, an external electric power supply device that interconnects the power line and external equipment, and an ECU that controls charging and discharging of the electric power generation device and the battery. The ECU starts an engine and supplies electric power generated by a generator to the battery and the external equipment in a case where a SOC is equal to or less than a use lower limit SOC and supplies the external equipment with electric power from the battery in a case where the SOC exceeds a use upper limit SOC. In addition, the ECU executes fixed point control for controlling the engine and the generator.

A controller for a vehicle includes: a control target value deriving unit configured to derive a control target value of an electric motor for travel which is mounted in a vehicle; a reference value deriving unit configured to derive a reference value serving as a reference for providing information to an occupant based on the control target value derived by the control target value deriving unit; a theoretical value deriving unit configured to derive a theoretical value related to an output of the electric motor; a selection unit configured to compare the reference value derived by the reference value deriving unit and the theoretical value derived by the theoretical value deriving unit with each other and to select the value having the smaller absolute value; and a control unit configured to control an information providing device based on the value selected by the selection unit.
