The disclosure relates to Discontinuous Reception (DRX) based UE behavior. A user equipment (UE) is configured to perform operations comprising: obtaining a first DRX cycle; determining a second DRX cycle at least based on the first DRX cycle and a DRX cycle threshold, wherein the DRX cycle threshold is a highest value of DRX cycle that can support LEO (Low-Earth Orbit) cell measurement; and applying the second DRX cycle, comprising applying the second DRX cycle to measurement of at least one LEO cell of the serving cell and a neighbor cell, wherein at least one of the serving cell and the neighbor cell is a LEO cell.

DRX based UE behavior

A user equipment (UE) is provided to select an uplink transmission beam to communicate with a base station in a secondary cell of a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. The UE can communicate with a first base station in a primary cell (PCell), and receive a command from the wireless network to activate a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission to a second base station in a secondary cell (SCell). The second base station can be in a being-activated state. The UE can determine whether an uplink spatial relation configuration is provided to the UE, and determine whether the UE supports beam correspondence. Based on the determinations, the UE can select an uplink transmission beam for the PUCCH transmission to the second base station.

This disclosure relates to techniques for configuring, performing, and reporting neighbor cell measurements in a wireless communication system. A base station of a serving cell may provide configuration information relevant to performing layer 1 (L1) measurements based on reference signals of one or more neighbor cells. A UE may perform L1 inter-frequency measurements of the neighbor cell(s) based on the configuration. The UE may report the measurements.

A terminal may include a transmitter that transmits, to a base station, a terminal capability indicating support for a first type of measurement configuration or a second type of measurement configuration. The terminal may include a receiver that receives, from the base station, network configuration information representative of a mapping between the first type of measurement configuration and the second type of measurement configuration. The terminal may include a processor that, based on the mapping, transforms the first type of measurement configuration to the second type of measurement configuration or transforms the second type of measurement configuration to the first type of measurement configuration. The network configuration information may be based on an independent frequency range (FR) measurement and a network preference included in the terminal capability.

Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed for configuring measurement timings in connection with UEs that are capable of signaling whether a measurement gap (MG) is needed to measure a target frequency carrier. For example, a measurement period may be determined for the target frequency carrier based on the UE indicating that it supports per-frequency range (FR) MGs, and determining that the FR of the target frequency carrier does not include any current serving cell(s). If the UE indicates that no MG is needed to measure the target frequency carrier, then the measurement period may be based on an SMTC, and may be further based on a predefined effective measurement gap repetition period (MGRP). If the UE indicates that a MG is needed, then the measurement period may be based on the SMTC, and may be further based on the effective MGRP or a per-UE MGRP.

The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to perform SRS transmission when a UE supports SRS Tx antenna port switching. In an example, a determination is made about whether a scheduled SRS transmission impacts a scheduled DL reception given the SRS Tx antenna port switching. If so, the SRS transmission and/or the DL reception are changed. In a further example, the UE can supports an SRS TA capability in conjunction with the SRS Tx antenna port switching capability. In this example, SRS TA can be applied to a scheduled SRS transmission.

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate inter-cell interference mitigation. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE), configured to receive a network assistance indication associated with an interfering signal, where the interfering signal interferes with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A time resource allocation of the interfering signal is different than a time resource allocation of the PDSCH transmission. The UE is further configured to determine an interference and noise covariance estimation mechanism based on the network assistance indication then perform interference and noise covariance estimation based on the noise covariance estimation mechanism. The UE is further configured to perform mitigation of the interfering signal using a mitigation mechanism based on the interference and noise covariance estimation.

Methods and enhancements for inter-cell interference mitigation

A user equipment (UE), baseband processor or other network device (e.g., base station, next generation NodeB, etc.) can operate to configure a hand over (HO) or a primary secondary cell (PSCell) addition based on a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) based contention free random access (CFRA) procedure. A CSI-RS rough timing of a CSI-RS position can be determined based on a synchronization signal block (SSB) associated with a CSI-RS or a serving cell timing. A CFRA transmit timing can be determined based on the CSI-RS rough timing or a CSI-RS fine timing that is derived from a timing and frequency (T/F) tracking operation on the CSI-RS. Reference signal receive power (RSRP) measurement(s) can be made on the CSI-RS for performing the CSI-RS based CFRA procedure with transmissions according to the CSI-RS transmit timing of the CSI-RS that satisfies an RSRP threshold.

The UE receives a signal from a network indicating that a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) secondary cell (SCell) activation procedure has been initiated, collects beam information corresponding to a target PUCCH SCell, reports the beam information to the network, determines that the target PUCCH SCell has been activated as a PUCCH SCell and transmits uplink control information (UCI) over a PUCCH to the PUCCH SCell, wherein the UE is also configured with a different PUCCH corresponding to a primary cell (PCell).
