A method of coating a material onto projections provided on a patch. The method includes applying a coating solution containing the material to at least the projections and drying the coating solution to at least the projections using a gas flow.

Disclosed are biocompatible, dissolving microneedle structures with enhanced mechanical strength. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to microneedles containing nanomaterials. Also disclosed are methods of producing such microneedle structures, as well as methods for using them to deliver drugs or biomolecules into the skin or epithelia, or the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a skin or epithelia cell, of a subject.

Mechanically robust fast-dissolving microneedles for transdermal drug and vaccine delivery

The present invention relates to fluorescent dye loaded particles and the method of preparing thereof. The method includes steps of preparing the nanoparticles with layered structure having at least one interlayer space, expanding the at least one interlayer space to form at least one expanded interlayer space, introducing the dye molecules to the at least one expanded interlayer space, and covalently bonding the dye molecules with the layered structure. The present invention also relates to a film comprising such nanoparticles.

Loaded particles and the method of preparing thereof

The present invention is concerned with a system and method for introducing a substance into cells. The system has an assembly including a plurality of elongate non-hollow nanoneedles forming a nanoneedle array or patch for delivering the substance into the cells, at least some of the nanoneedles have a non-uniform diameter with a wider upper end, a narrower lower end for penetration into the cells and a length from substantially 200 nm to 100 um. The lower end has a diameter from substantially 20-436 nm. Adjacent nanoneedles are spaced apart by substantially 5-50 um. The nanoneedles are made from a material selected from the group consisting of diamond, cubic boron nitride, carbon nitride, boron nitride, boron carbon nitride, metal borides and essentially boron materials, allowing the nanoneedles to maintain sufficient thinness and yet adequate rigidity during penetration. The nanoneedles are applied onto the cells grown on substrates at a preferred rate from 1 to 5 m/s. Alternatively, the nanoneedles are applied onto the cells grown on substrates by centrifugation force from 0.5 to 10 nN. Yet alternatively, the cells suspended in a fluid are applied to the nanoneedle array at a rate of 1 to 10 m/s.

Method and apparatus for delivery of molecules to cells

A method for use in producing a patch having a number of projections thereon. The method includes providing a distribution member and filling material on a mold surface, the mold including a number of cavities extending from the mold surface for defining the patch projections, filling the cavities with filling material, at least in part by urging filling material from the distribution member into the cavities, causing the filling material to solidify and separating the solidified filling material and the mold to thereby form the patch.
