In a method for adjusting a fan of an electronic device, a sensor of the electronic device detects an instant work environment temperature of an electronic component of the electronic device. The detected temperature is obtained from the sensor. The speed of the fan under the detected temperature and a speed of the fan to which it may be adjusted is computed using a predefined algorithm based on prestored values, obtained from experimentation. The fan is adjusted to achieve a heat dissipation mode and an energy-saving mode of the electronic device accordingly.

Electronic device and method for adjusting fan of electronic device

An air pressure drop detecting device for detecting air flow volume of a cooling fan includes a first pressure sensor, a second pressure sensor, and a display unit. The cooling fan has an air inlet and an air outlet opposite to the air inlet. The first pressure sensor is positioned in the air inlet and detects a plurality of first pressure values. The second pressure sensor is positioned in the air outlet and detects a plurality of second pressure values. The display unit is connected to the first pressure sensor and the second pressure sensor to display the first pressure values and the second pressure values, and a position of the cooling fan in the computer case is determined by the pressure difference between the first pressure values and the second pressure values.

Air pressure drop detecting device for cooling fan

An airflow guide includes a top cover and two side covers. The two side covers are disposed on opposite ends of the top cover. At least one of the two side covers includes a base plate and a sliding plate. The base plate is fixedly connected to the top cover. The sliding plate is slidably connected to the base plate. The sliding plate slides relative to the base plate, such that an air inlet is defined in the at least one of the two side covers.

A speed adjustment circuit for a plurality of fans includes a voltage input terminal, a plurality of speed control modules, and a fan tachometer. Each of the speed control modules includes a fan connector, a speed adjusting unit, and a detector switch unit. The speed adjusting unit includes a switching control unit, a voltage adjusting chip, and a variable resistor. The detector switch unit includes a first switch. The voltage input terminal connects to the input terminal of the voltage adjusting chip through the switching control unit. The output terminal of the voltage adjusting chip connects to the power pin of the fan connector. The adjusting terminal of the voltage adjusting chip connects to ground through the variable resistor, and connects to the output terminal of the voltage adjusting chip through a resistor. The detection pin of the fan connector connects to the fan tachometer through the first switch.

Speed adjustment circuit for a plurality of fans

An exemplary server rack includes a box adapted for receiving a plurality of servers therein, a plurality of pivoting members pivotally connected to the box; and a plurality of covers fixed to the pivoting members respectively. The box includes a front board and a back board opposite to the front board. The front board and the back board both define a plurality of though holes adapted for airflow to pass therethrough. Each cover is operable to pivot relative to the box via the corresponding pivoting member, and thereby cover some of the through holes of the front board of the box.

A server cabinet adapted for receiving servers therein includes a top plate, a bottom plate opposite to the top plate, a left side plate and a right side plate connecting with the top and bottom plates respectively, and a front side plate disposed between the top and bottom plates. The front side plate defines through holes therein. A total area of the through holes in an upper half portion of the front side plate is different from a total area of the through holes in a lower half portion of the front side plate. The front side plate is rotatable in a plane defined by the front side plate.
