This application provides a display method and an electronic device. When the electronic device switches from a screen-off mode to a lock-screen mode, the electronic device may perform gradual expansion from a last image frame displayed in a screen-off interface, and in a gradual expansion process, successively play a transition animation during switching from the screen-off interface to a lock-screen interface.

This application provides a display method and an electronic device. The method includes: in a process of displaying a first transition animation on a first screen of the electronic device, if the first transition animation displayed on the first screen is interrupted, continuing, by the electronic device, to play an unfinished part of the first transition animation on a switched-to second screen, allowing a transition animation of the electronic device to be applied to more scenarios to improve user experience.

This application provides a display method and an electronic device. The method includes: playing a first transition animation in normal order on a desktop on a display of the electronic device; and playing the first transition animation in reverse order on a screen offscreen after switching from the desktop to the screen off screen on the display of the electronic device. In this way, a transition animation can be applied to more scenarios to improve user experience.

A method for controlling a small screen window includes: determining target blocked information, where the target blocked information includes indication information used to indicate that a target area of a first window is blocked by a second window, and the target area is a display area of a preset feature in the first window; determining a window display instruction based on the target blocked information, where the window display instruction includes an instruction for controlling one or more of a floating position of the second window on the first window, transparency of the second window, a size of the second window, and a shape of the second window; and controlling, according to the window display instruction, the second window to be displayed on the first window.
