A muffling apparatus () is provided for placement within an oil separator of refrigeration or cooling system, wherein the apparatus has a non-straight shape and a lumen () defined therein to allow for noise-creating pressure pulsations/waves to come into contact with absorbing material () of the muffling apparatus in order to attenuate the energy of the pressure waves/pulsations into heat and thus reduce oil separator vibrations caused thereby.

Methods and apparatus for reducing the noise level outputted by oil separator

A fan assembly has a central metallic element and a polymeric fan. The polymeric fan has a hub carrying the central metallic element and has a plurality of blades extending from the hub. The central metallic element has a central longitudinal aperture and a lateral surface. The central metallic element lateral surface is of substantially uniform substantially square section along a majority of a length of the central metallic element.

A compressor assembly, including a compressor, at least one pipe having ends and an intermediate portion between the ends, the at least one pipe being connected to the compressor at the ends, and at least one support member for supporting the intermediate portion of the at least one pipe relative to the compressor.

A compressor assembly includes a compressor having a known vibration frequency when operated at normal operating parameters; and an electric box assembly having a frame member mounted to the compressor for containing electrical components related to the compressor, the electric box assembly having a natural frequency which is different from the known vibration frequency. This avoids amplification of vibration into the electric box assembly and thereby protects the assembly from damage due to same.

A fan is provided for use with a casing having a bellmouth and a conduit portion. The fan has a hub, a number of blades extending from the hub, and a shroud. In cooperation with the casing and the conduit portion surrounding the shroud, the shroud has means for generating a separation bubble effective to limit a recirculation flow.

A fan motor support bracket has a central body portion and first and second end portions upwardly offset from the central body portion. First and second transition portions extend respectively between the first and second end portion and first and second ends of the central body portion. The central body portion has a base and first and second sidewalls extending generally upward from the base. The first sidewall has at least one relief for accommodating a mounting ear of the motor.

Fan motor support

An air conditioning system is disclosed which takes advantage of low ambient temperature conditions so as to activate a refrigerant flow that bypasses the compressor. The activation of the refrigerant flow is achieved by the intelligent control of a pump positioned between the outlet of the condenser and the inlet of an expansion device upstream of the evaporator. The refrigerant flow produced by the pump does not require any particular positioning of the condenser and evaporator components with respect to each other. The evaporator preferably absorbs heat from water circulating in a secondary loop which is used to remove heat from a building by one or more fan coil units.
