The present invention provides a system for evaporating a radioactive fluid, a method for the synthesis of a radiolabelled compound including this system, and a cassette for the synthesis of a radiolabelled compound comprising this system. The present invention provides advantages over known methods for evaporation of a radioactive fluid as it reduces drastically the amount of radioactive gaseous chemicals that are released in the hot cell. It is gentler and more secure compared to the known process and provides access to radiosyntheic processes that may not been acceptable for safety reasons related to release of volatile radioactive gases during evaporation. In addition, the process yields are higher because the radioactive volatiles are labelled intermediate species.

Closed evaporation system

The present invention provides a new chemical process, a new cassette configuration, and new software for the automated production of multiple batches of an [F]labelled compound on a single cassette. The invention allows one synthesizer in one hot cell to produce sequentially a plurality of batches of [F]-labelled PET tracer in the same day. In particular, the present invention provides a novel arrangement useful for the trapping of [F]fluoride and recovery of [O]water.

Fluoride trapping arrangement

The present invention provides a new chemical process, a new cassette configuration, and new software for the automated production of multiple batches of an [F]-labelled compound on a single cassette. The invention allows one synthesizer in one hot cell to produce sequentially a plurality of batches of [F]-labelled PET tracer in the same day. In particular, the present invention provides a novel arrangement useful for purifying two consecutive batches of a reaction mixture comprising anF-labelled compound.

PET tracer purification system

A pierce and fill connector cap for a vial sealed by an elastomeric septum includes a vial collar and a needle holder. The vial collar body defines a collar aperture to be positioned in overlying registry with the septum of the vial, and the needle holder includes a needle holder body providing a means for holding an elongate needle in registry with the collar aperture. The needle holder body being moveable with respect to said vial collar between a first position spaced from the vial collar and a second position proximate the vial collar, such that a needle held by the needle holder will puncture through the vial septum.

Dual run cassette for the synthesis of 18F-labelled compounds

The present invention provides a system for the production of a radiopharmaceutical including a radiosynthesis apparatus and a disposable cassette. The system of the invention includes a device that enables a position on the cassette to be freed for inclusion of an additional reagent vial. With the system of the invention a broader range of radiochemical syntheses can be envisaged using the cassette.

Piercing device

A quality control ('QC') system for PET or SPECT radiopharmaceuticals is disclosed that contains a disposable, no-leakage, self-contained QC cassette, which interfaces with the QC system. The QC system may include a shield that substantially surrounds the cassette such that the area and the cassette are both shielded. The QC cassette may contain shielding also. The QC cassette contains components for conducting one or more QC tests. These components include sensor and devices for performing various QC tests on radiopharmaceuticals. The QC system may contain a number of sub-systems and devices for supporting the QC tests. The QC system may produce a QC report containing the test results.

Quality control devices and methods for radiopharmaceuticals

An interfacing cap for a reagent storage vessel is provided. The interfacing cap comprises a partitioning element having a structure corresponding to an opening of the reagent storage vessel, a projection fitting disposed on the partitioning element, a holder element, and a puncturing element coupled to the projection fitting.
