The invention refers to a sensor arrangement with at least one sensor and a method for monitoring physiological parameters of a person, a textile fabric and a use of a textile fabric. An sensor arrangement is described that is suited to improve signal quality and suppress noise, for instance in remote capacitive sensing of body parameters. To achieve this, certain textile fabrics are used, preferably integrated into textile used in a bed, e.g. the blanket, the bed cover, or the mattress. These textile fabrics allow for a suppression of electromagnetic interference from external sources and can be arranged to avoid charge build-up during measurements, in particular those caused by movements of the person.

Sensor arrangement and method for monitoring physiological parameters

In order to provide a technique for determining high-quality blood pressure values of a patient, especially in cases of unsupervised blood pressure measurements in a home environment, it is suggested to use a system () for determining the blood pressure of a patient () comprising a blood pressure measuring device () for measuring a blood pressure value, an auxiliary device () for measuring the motor activity of the patient () during a defined period of time prior to the blood pressure measurement, and a processing device (), said processing device () being adapted to obtain the motor activity information and the blood pressure value, said processing device () being further adapted to automatically assess the blood pressure value using the motor activity information, and said processing device () being further adapted to provide a measuring result depending on the result of the assessment.

System and method for determining the blood pressure of a patient

For the recognition of spoken text it is necessary that the words to be recognized are available in acoustically modeled form, i.e. in the form of a sequence of reference values. These reference values are determined from a known, spoken text during a training phase, in that from this text there are derived characteristic values at regular intervals, as during the recognition, which characteristic values are arranged according to triphones so as to form groups or so-called clusters. These groups constitute the basis for the reference values. In the case of a recognition system involving a very large vocabulary, however, not all triphones will occur during the training phase, unless the text is prohibitively long. In order to enable the reference values to be determined also for words containing triphones which have not occurred, such a triphone must be associated with an available group. To this end, all groups are examined so as to determine whether they have the same central phoneme in interrelationship with either the left-hand or the right-hand phoneme as the triphone to be associated. The group for which this is most often the case is selected as the associated group. The vast majority of words can thus be modeled on the basis of triphones. Modifications of this rule are described for words containing triphones which cannot be directly associated in this manner.
