The present disclosure is directed to a mixing valve pressure balancer and temperature controller module, a mixing valve flow diverter module, a modular assembly including the pressure balancer and temperature controller module and the flow diverter module, and a mixing valve including the modular assembly.

Mixing valves, valve modules, and valve module assemblies

A faucet handle assembly for a Roman tub has a low profile and can be installed from above or below the tub deck. A valve body extends along a longitudinal axis and defines a cartridge cavity. A lower end defines water inlet and outlet passages and a threaded external surface. An upper end defines a threaded internal surface. A mixing cartridge with a rotatable stem and a cartridge spacer are carried in the cavity with the spacer axially between the cartridge and the inlet and outlet passages of the valve body. A fastener has a threaded external surface threaded to the threaded internal surface of the valve body upper end. An upper mounting ring has a hub disposed about the upper end of the valve body and a flange extending radially outwardly from the hub.

A flushometer valve assembly comprises a flushometer valve body including an outlet, an outlet tube including a conduit extending along a longitudinal axis, and a flushometer valve tube-to-body coupling that directly fastens the outlet tube to the flushometer valve body.

A tub spout with a diverter mechanism includes a housing having an external surface and an internal cavity that includes a spout outlet. A water supply conduit is located within the internal cavity and provides a fluid path that is in fluid communication with the spout outlet. A push button extends outwardly of the external surface of the housing and is movable relative to the housing between a non-diverting position where water exits the spout outlet and a diverting position where water is prevented from exiting the spout outlet. A diverter gate is positioned within the internal cavity to selectively block the fluid path and is coupled for movement with the push button. A resilient member biases the push button to the non-diverting position.

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, and a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet. A surface is disposed in the valve body for seating the piston. The surface tapers inwardly as it passes into the outlet wherein the taper improves the flow characteristics of fluid passing by the taper thereby minimizing water hammer and leakage therethrough.

Flush valve seat

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, and a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and said outlet to regulate flow through the valve body. The piston has a shoulder. A neck depends from the shoulder and has a smaller perimeter than the shoulder. And, a flange depends from the neck and has a larger perimeter than the neck. Better flow characteristics of fluid about the shoulder, neck, and flange minimize noise coming from the valve and increase reliability thereof.

Flush valve

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet. A piston is disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet. A piston cap is disposed within the valve body and has a wall along which the piston is guided. A groove is disposed in the piston cap wall for equalizing pressure on sides of the piston translating therein. The groove has a shallow, semicircular shape whereby a possibility that fluid flow therethrough is diminished is minimized.

A flush valve has a valve body having an inlet and an outlet, a piston disposed in the valve body between the inlet and the outlet, a cartridge disposed in the outlet and a plurality of check valves disposed serially within the cartridge for preventing backflow through the outlet and wherein vacuum effects are minimized.

Flush valve anti-backflow cartridge

A flush valve utilizes a sensor to determine how close a user is to a toilet to determine whether to utilize a longer flush with more water to remove, typically, solid waste or a shorter flush with less water to remove, typically, liquid waste. If a user is in a zone that is closer to the toilet, a longer flush is deemed necessary and if a user is in a zone farther from the toilet, a shorter flush is deemed necessary. Users sometimes move between one zone or the other and the flush valve determines whether a user spends more or less time in the zones to determine whether to provide a shorter or a longer flush.
